Hello! Trying to fix my old PS3 HDD

So, I've been trying to restore an older PS3 HDD that may have been corrupted/damaged when I sent my console to be repaired for the (YLOD). The repairs did fix the (YLOD) and for a brief amount of time (and I mean very brief) I was able to boot into the XMB with all my saved data before it crashed when trying to insert a backup drive. I have since then tried using HDD Regenerator to fix the affected sectors, but the drive runs extremely slow and now shows a blue screen (with no text) when booting and in safe mode. Is there any way to save this drive? I'm so desperate I've considered sending it in to a data recovery service.

To recover data from this drive You need to been able to make sector by sector copy (eg. by IsoBuster, DMDE, ddrescue) and have EID Root Key (which means, installing CFW, of course using different HDD, and getting read that key). Without it, You are out of luck due to encrypting.

Also You already made further damages using that application.

Data recovery services will not retrieve any data without a way of decryption, and majority of them have no idea about consoles, they will search for a solution and come here like You. :D

Do You want rescue HDD or data on it? First probably be not possible in assumption there are bad sectors etc. (S.M.A.R.T report can tell You; if it is fully healthy, it is enough to perform quick format on PC, but of course this means also good bye for data on it), second depend of damages type and range. If You would be able make SBS copy and get the key I could see what can be done (for a small fee :P).

Thank you for the advice! :) I tried HDD Raw Copy Tool once before and was able to copy some of the information from my old drive to a newer one. When I inserted the copied drive into my PS3, I was actually able to boot into the XMB, but when I connected a drive to backup the information the system had shut off. I'm really not too techy, so I have never tried installing CFW, but I have seen videos online.
