help please can't install any fw

I never test this, cd update. Hope to hear console will work back. I'm not facing software problems to often. Don't take to serious my advices, I'm most of time good to hardware side and repair processes.
It will be easy to watch lv1 booting order so probably some good developers will eventually explain when it fails on that address error. This can be done with uart port for syscon access write access to SB debugging. That second uart port for SB debugging will show on pc each boot stage while updating.

This is the exact cd/dvd type I use for pup updates in case you need to do same

I think everyone know about it and because of it I was curious about your answer. Anyway HW oriented people are pure gold in every technically oriented community like developers with a wisdom of reverse engineering.

I'm waiting for information if it resolve the problem of installation. I'm still worry about USB ports but if they are fine before maybe we will learn something new.

I've fixed ps3 from 2012 and seen many situations. I will wait OP test and response for test simple way from outside unit, and probably he will test hardware flasher again and report. Hopefully this is easy fix. I have more thoughts if not working and we move later on hardware side if necessary.
 
Is it possible that sony made some security update and this is why i cant install cfw? I used old patcher for bios.
 
No, that is not the problem, the only changes in 4.88 were PSN security based, nothing to do with firmware installation procedures which related code hasn't been modified for years, other than that s#ny has mostly been updating certificates for SSL, BD video.. in recent years, the kernel & other low level parts haven't been modified since 4.75/4.78.

Most old tools are obsolete. If you need a patcher tool for hardware flashing purposes, use the latest pyps3patcher in the pyps3tools by littlebalup available at https://github.com/littlebalup/PyPS3tools

Nowadays there is a software solution to patch CFW compatible consoles with the PS3 Toolset on ** www.** ** www.ps3xploit.net > D... by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com).
For details you can refer to the thread by Coro called "jailbreak with bgtoolset", of course the console must be functional.

I mod 3 console with bgtoolset and work fine but mine stuck on installing cfw and now i dont have xbm and cant install any fw.

I try ofw and another hdd, no help.
I can try psu in morning
Just to say again: console was working, i downgrade it with e3flasher, install rogero, and then when i installing evilnat 4.88 console stuck at some point and get loop error that need to restart and install again. After this i power off, flash again and then just error file corupted on all fw's.

Mmm, I'm starting to think that perhaps the bin file for the flasher is corrupt or the flashing process is not applying correctly. Just a thought, I've never used a flasher on the PS3.

Let's wait for some other forum members that have more experience with it. Sorry I can not help you more @Freesty.
 
i had a CECHL with your problem. My solution was to install a ferrox 4.87 cfw not a 4.88.... Tried allready 8 usb stick and 3 HDD but no luck. Then i installed ferrox 4.87 and voila, my ps3 was back to life.
