Help Running A Debug EBOOT.BIN for HEN PS3's:
Hey everyone my name is Nagato, some of you guys may know me from YouTube modding tutorials as Nagato's Revenge. Today I have an important question to ask via on this platform. As some of you guys know I am currently working on a preservation project for PlayStation Home!

As showcased here:

You can see that our preservation team has manage to run a offline debug build via on a DEX PS3 via with the use of TM. Sadly the only way to utilize this build is with a DEX PS3 or the use of RPCS3. I currently have some PlayStation Home debug/development builds that can run of couse on a DEX PS3, however not on a HEN HFW console. Which brings me to the main topic for today, I'm currently am looking for away on how to either to convert a debug EBOOT.BIN to a retail EBOOT.BIN so it can run on a HFW HEN PS3, or just in general to run a debug eboot on HFW. The goal is to make Home run on HFW/HEN systems as well as CFW so all users can enjoy Home.

P.S: Currently as well I am looking for any users who might have PlayStation Home still installed on to there PS3 via on there XMB. For more information on how to archive data you can watch my video showcased down below. As well you can join the project Destination Home discord here.

Use PS3 Tools collection, True Ancestor SELF Resigner or SCE Tool. PS3 Tools is the simplest as it adds short cuts to the windows context menu so is as simple as right click on eboot > select resign eboot > done.

EDIT: By default PS3 Tools should use the keys from FW version 3.40 - 3.42 on the EBOOT which is good enough for HEN.

Oh maybe it is that easy. Last time I was looking at it it was a self, but an eboot might be a lot easier then.

I tried a few of the normal options on the eboot with no luck. I think it will need patches or idk.

Im not sure how is the correct way to do it, but the first thing i would try is to use scetool with the option that allows to use a diffrent file as a pattern
I mean... decrypt the debug eboot.bin into a .elf, and then use scetool together with the retail eboot.bin to sign the debug eboot.elf into an eboot.bin

Might need more specific params to be set while signing the file... using the OG file as a template should do the job, the just patch the FW/resign version to 3.55 for use on HEN.
