So my PS3 Slim (CECH-3001A) has given me problems in the past, mostly in the form of the console immediately shutting off with no power LED indicator after pressing the power button while its in standby. First time I fixed it by getting a new power supply. Next time I fixed it by replacing the thermal paste because the old one was dried up to basically a brittle crust. Now its causing this problem again when it shut off after being fine for a little under 2 years, the power supply seems to be in good shape, and thermal paste on it is not even 2 years old. What are some common causes of this?
Edit: For clarification , I do know how to solder and have messed with smd parts in the past if that is an issue.
