PS3 Help with Setting Up SingStar Library on Jailbroken PS3

Hi everyone, I realize Im late and apologize in advance,

I have a jailbroken PS3, and I'm looking to consolidate my entire SingStar library in one place. I have a handful of original SingStar discs (both PS3 and PS2 versions) and their ISO backups. I also have some songs purchased from the SingStore before it was shut down.

Here's what I'd like to achieve:

Access all my SingStar songs (disc-based, ISO, and SingStore) from a single interface.
Be able to add/remove songs easily.
Ideally, keep everything organized within the SingStar application itself.

I'm new to setting this up, so I have a few questions:

Is there a way to import or link the songs from my PS2 SingStar ISOs into the PS3 SingStar app?
Can I restore my SingStore songs to a jailbroken PS3? If so, how?
Are there any tools or custom packages that can help organize and manage everything?

If anyone has done something similar or has a guide to follow, I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance.

This is from ChatGPT so Im not convinced it would work... Can anyone confirm?

Consolidating your SingStar library on a jailbroken PS3 is possible with some tools and setup. Here's a step-by-step guide to achieve your goals:
1. Importing PS2 SingStar Songs into PS3 SingStar

Unfortunately, the PS3 SingStar app doesn't natively support importing songs directly from PS2 SingStar ISOs. However, you can use a workaround to make your PS2 songs playable:
  • Extracting Songs from PS2 ISOs:
    • Use a tool like PowerISO or UltraISO on your PC to extract the contents of the PS2 SingStar ISOs.
    • Locate the song files (usually .SNG files along with audio and video assets) in the extracted ISO.
  • Creating Custom Songs for PS3 SingStar:
    • You can use a tool called SingStar Content Manager (SSCM) or similar community tools to create custom song packages for PS3 SingStar.
    • These tools allow you to convert extracted assets into a format compatible with the PS3 version.
  • Injecting Custom Songs:
    • Copy the custom song packages to the appropriate directory on your PS3's internal or external storage.
    • Use a file manager like multiMAN or webMAN MOD to transfer the files.
2. Restoring SingStore Songs

If you have purchased SingStore songs in the past, they are tied to your PSN account. Even though the SingStore is shut down, you can restore the content if you have backups:
  • Check for SingStore Backups:
    • Look for .EDAT files or .pkg files on your PS3 if you previously backed up your SingStore purchases.
    • If you didn't back up your purchases, you might need to look online in certain community forums for packages of SingStore songs. Make sure you only download content you legitimately own to comply with copyright laws.
  • Installing SingStore Songs:
    • Place the .pkg files or .EDAT files in the /dev_hdd0/game/BCES00011/USRDIR directory (or similar, depending on your SingStar region version).
    • Use a tool like PKG Installer or a custom firmware (CFW) manager to install these files on your PS3.
3. Tools for Organizing Your SingStar Library

Several tools and custom packages can help you organize your SingStar songs:
  • SingStar Content Manager (SSCM):
    • This tool can manage and organize your custom SingStar content. It helps create custom packages and integrates them into the PS3 SingStar app.
  • multiMAN or webMAN MOD:
    • Use these file managers to navigate and manage the SingStar game files directly on your PS3. They allow you to transfer, delete, or modify song files easily.
  • PS3 Proxy Tools:
    • Use these tools to spoof downloads from the SingStore if you can locate the exact download URLs of the songs.
4. Keeping Everything in the SingStar Interface

To ensure all your songs are accessible through the SingStar app:
  • Maintain Proper Directory Structure:
    • All song files should be in the appropriate directory under /dev_hdd0/game/BCES00011/USRDIR. Organize them by title or disc for easy navigation.
  • Rebuild SingStar's Database:
    • After adding or modifying songs, rebuild the database so the app recognizes the new content. This can usually be done through the SingStar app or a third-party tool.
5. Adding and Removing Songs Easily

To add or remove songs:
  • Use SSCM or manual file management via webMAN MOD or FTP.
  • Delete unwanted .EDAT or song files from the /USRDIR directory.
  • Add new .EDAT or .pkg files, ensuring they match the SingStar format.
