PS3HEN Help with using ps3netsrv via shared network

Hello, as it happens my router is in my living room which shares the same wall as my bedroom and in order to get a network cable here there is a hole in the wall where the cable comes through. so basically i have a 20 M cable that reaches my pc but i do not own another long cable (and the hole is not big enough for a third cable since there's my ps2's ethernet cable coming through there as well) so i decided to connect my ps3 to the ethernet using one of the spare ports in my pc.
I managed to get it to connect to the internet perfectly fine, can even play online or download stuff from psn, but when i try to acess my webman network isos i can not connect to the ps3netsrv (it does work through wifi but that is unplayably slow) my pc is is using a static ip on the main network card (192.168.1.125 which works if i try to connect via wifi) and then there's 192.168.137.1 which is the ip of the second network card the ps3 is plugged into. i tried setting up with both ips in the scan for content settings through webman but did not work.
Another thing i tried is instead of sharing making these two network cards a network bridge which worked for having internet on the ps3 and even connect to the ps3netsrv BUT when i try to mount a game, the ps3 hangs!
I can browse through the shared folders but when i try to mount any game it just hangs and the green power led on the ps3 blinks forever.
In the ps3netsrv console i do see "open game.iso" but it doesnt seem to do anything from there.
Also tried to create firewall exceptions for both ps3netsrv and for the port 38008 to no avail.
Another problem i should point out is that using a network bridge makes my internet connection very unstable on my pc.

If there's any other information you need please tell me and i will provide. Thank you.

EDIT: I found a temporary workaround that works for now, i opened the port 38008 on my router and connected my ps3 using my external ip adress which to my surprise worked BUT i don't feel safe keeping this port open so if you do know of a solution please tell me!

Literally was going to suggest using the same setup as both guys mentioned above. Had issues with signal drop as our house is very long after all the additional sections added on. So instead of repeaters we did this to every room. Absolutely could not live without it as we stream a good bit of HD content from my NAS. Definitely worth every penny to no have signal loss, no holes in our new walls/floors & it is blazing fast even 40+gb files.
