(Hen) Unable to install packages.

Hi!

Just modded my ps3 recently with HEN I have done this before but years ago so I did it again as I had found a pretty good condition ps3.

There is a problem when downloading PKG files though. When I go to

Package Manager > Install > Package Direct/Standard I get an error every time 8001002B

I was unable to find anything on this beside scratched disc so I was like okay maybe it is the usb after all it is old.

I buy another usb 32GB 3.2 from a local dollar general and well it works! for one game. After playing that one game I try to install another as I had forgot about it but there it is again the same exact error

I tried installing the PKGs through multiman but yet again no luck it doesn't get past 10%

so I was wondering what could be happening? I never had this problem with my other ps3 before as I was able to install PKGs with no problem it was a different model though both slims just last one was a 20 and this one is a 25
 
all i see on the error code list is "IO error". not sure what that means at all.

you could try a different hard drive. (it will be formatted by the ps3!) if that is not the problem, you can put the old drive back in and it will work (without formatting.)

you are using an SSD, try a real HDD or a different SSD.

I must have not done enough research I see it now! that is very strange

I have some spare hard drives I will try those out now and get back to yall

Soooooooooooooo I had been sick for awhile but im back and well swapped out hard drives formatted all that stuff but the usb just doesnt download correctly still

The download goes and just stops at like 10% and now I have like no idea what to do I will swap the hard drive back and just keep going at it I guess
 
I FIGURED IT OUT

aka someone already did on these forums but I didn't even know it

SO I got a bit frustrated and thought maybe it is just the ps3 so I go and well found my other one on my balcony use my 500GB hard drive format and... a new error when downloading HFW? Error was
80029C55

I had NEVER got that error on my other ps3 only 8001002B

The solution?

Unplugging my bootleg ps3 controller as it was taking up the power from the usb ports as the game was trying to download

I never knew this and sure enough hooked up a ps4 controller via bluetooth plugged usb into right port just by it's self and boom it worked as if nothing ever happend

so well I found my solution and maybe if someone is having the same error they can do what I did lol

I really appreciate the help though as now I have a 500GB hard drive I forgot about lmao.
