  HFW 4.90.1 can be used for HEN installation on ALL models.
  
  If you own a 2.5K or lower model, you can use this HFW to install CFW by using a flash writer.
  
  Here's my note for homebrew developers (Please disregard if you are installing HEN or CFW)

There are Guide Posts made by devs on this site that show you how to go from HFW to CFW IF your PS3 model is compatible. All details are listed on those posts, I suggest you look for them or wait until someone sends links to those posts

Right now PS3HEN is still in development, but is being worked on.
I would stay on 4.89, as you cant use PS3HEN yet on 4.90

Neither of my flashdrive (mbr, fat32 32kb cluster) was recognized.

When tried to install HFW, then error message:
"No Applicable update data was found".

I've using official ds3, fully charged, flashdrive is in the rightmost usb.

Make sure USB is formatted to fat32

Make a folder on your USB called PS3

Inside the PS3 folder make another called UPDATE

Copy your ps3updat.pup file into the UPDATE FOLDER

Then try install it again personally I think you should wait for the new hen to be released

I was able to update only on recovery mode, tomorrow i will install cfw that evilnat just launched. Thank you for the help

Here's the official demo video from SONY, it's the same for all models, if you are on 4.89 then you don't really need recovery mode to install 4.90 HFW over 4.89 FW.
