Yes but it can be a hassle to install it, and without BD support then you have to wait for a new legacy sony update if this screws up. I.e you will not be able to use your BlueRay-Drive using HFW 4.90.1

Open this with vivaldi or opera och chrome web browser. But as i say at your own risk. For me and my family it sucks bigtime, since we played mostly LittleBigPlanet2 online at beacon.

it says it installed hen successfully, in the corner it says welcome to PS3HEN 3.2.0, and that's where it is frozen. every time. anyone got Ideas?
HFW from here, psx-place.com/threads/hfw-4-90-1-hybrid-firmware.39758/ is installed. There is no option to enable hen from underneath the games tab
EDIT: Tried USB, also froze when enabling HEN.
EDIT 2: Tried alt installer as well. froze immediately.
 
PSA to all WebMAN Mod users. Uninstall or Update before HFW 4.90.1 and HEN 3.2.0

Cannot install HEN 3.2.0 with old WebMAN installed.

Putting blank boot_plugins.txt on USB resolved frozen 'Welcome to PS3HEN 3.2.0' for me.

Holding R2 during install did give me a 'success' message, but no HEN. Use blank boot_plugins.txt method.

1.47.44 of WebMAN is only version that will load with HEN 3.2/HFW 4.90

*EDIT*: HEN installed successfully! I used the usb method and it worked first try, lucky me!
Though i did also use the blank boot plugins txt so that might've been the trick

Hi! I did this because i didnt see this post beforehand and cant get HEN 4.90 web method to install (freezes at "preparing... " screen), so now im trying to use the blank plugins method

Where should i put the .txt file? I've tried the root of the usb but i'm still gettin stuck on the preparing screen of the hen installer

Would re-installing the previous HEN & HFW to uninstall WebMAN be possible?

im trying to install HFW on my ps3 slim 4.90 CECH 30B and the error message when i insert my usb drive says "No applicable update data found" what to do? im following the MrMario2011 tutorial
 
Only thing I have to point out is if @Joonie has the time and wants, change the default website from the PS3 Internet Browser from ***ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new)* to ps3xploit.me* in case someone gets confused
 
one quirk about 4.90:
the HEN icon is supposed to be hidden after activated which I think it is a great idea, the issue is when starting a game and using the in game XMB, a empty folder sits above the webman icon

i know a little bit about xmb editing (so that I removed the Store icons thar are on all rows, just kept on PSN row which for me makes more sense), but I didnt understand well how to fix this, even restoring to the xml that came with the hfw still kept this empty folder sitting on the in game xmb. Outside of any game this folder doesnt appear.

hmm? I don't / can't modify that default setting on HFW. So I am not sure about what you ask. That can be done via HEN installation pkg.

I had the same problem. Eventually what helped me perhaps? was firstly uninstalling multiman and webmanmod, then i put a USB-drive with text file boot_plugins.txt and boot_plugins.text and plain boot_plugins (text document created by windows) in root of USB, put the USB in my PS3 (right port) without any other attachments in other ports. Installing HFW again then it just worked, after the welcome to PS3HEN 3.2.0 promt. I tried like 60 times installing HEN in total.
So it will most likely work for you eventually but, well it can take ALOT of time and efforts.

After you get enabled HEN dont forget to take away every boot_plugins.txt from your USB and your ps3 (from dev_hd01) or multiman / webman will fail. BEFORE installing them. That is - first remove boot_plugins.txt and all alike from USB, install multiman - remove boot_plugins.txt from dev_hd01 in file manager, then exit multiman then remove multiman and reinstall multiman, install webman mod.
