PS3 How do I install version 4.92.1 cfw through web browser (no usb drives pls)

I have a PS3 Slim. It's running 4.92 OFW and I really messed up last year. You see, i had 4.91 HFW with Homebrew ENabler in it. Everything was going well until i uninstalled HEN and updated it to 4.92. can anyone help me install 4.92.1 cfw through a website?
 
Then you don't need HEN.

Follow MrMario's tutorial:


Once you have run the exploit, you'll need to use a custom proxy and change the update server address properly so the console can detect the CFW PUP from your local server.
 
Quick update: why does 4.92.1 and .2 say the file is corrupted even though I did the steps correctly (but without the toolset bc it's down)

can I just install the HFW bc they don't load?

CFW PUPs will only install using BgToolset (which is not available at the moment). So, any modified PUP will fail.

You'll have to install HEN until the server is back online.

you can do as you please, but we only provide support for official hen. we don't know what the they added to it (even if they publish their code, there is no guarantee what they compiled).

May I ask something ? I saw a github page for installing HEN without the websites that are down, but I cannot acces the github page through the internet browser of the PS3. No matter if I type the adress directly or do as a google search, it keep telling me that my browser on the PS3 is outdated, and no matter the website I cannot access anything
Any solutions for me ? I would appreciate, thanks in advance

Well, I did try to follow that one tutorial too, but still not working... Same problem : "Update your internet browser ; Your internet browser is no longer supported; To continue your search, go to a more recent version"
I followed Mario's tutorial, but even to access to the local server made with my computer, it's still not working
Didn't found anything anywhere... And didn't got this error 2 days ago when I tried to install HEN again and saw that the websites was down... Maybe it's the HFW that's blocking the process ? I have 4.92 HFW installed

Again, you didn't follow the tutorial step by step. The purpose of using a local web server is to bypass any certificates and security checks.

If you had follow the tutorial on how to install HEN, then you should know that HFW is a must in order to run the exploit. It's stated as a requirement before anything.

I just rewatched everything, tryed to follow the threads you've puted in both your messages, but whatever I do, even reseting the whole ps3 while changing the HDD, nothing's working... Whatever I do, really
Same error again and again, nothing's possible anymore with my internet browser on my ps3...
I have no fk idea why, I litteraly rewatched every forums you sent, followed Mario's video step by step, absolutely nothing is working
It was working 3 days ago tho, cuz it's when I saw the H.S. websites and came on here
I can swear I followed absolutely everything... But whatever I do my internet browser don't work

I just changed the language of my ps3 to english and it finally worked, don't ask me how...

Mmm, that's very weird because SSL protocol has nothing to do with system language. Also, you've mentioned that you've reset your system settings, which would default to English language (unless your console is from Japan).

Still, glad that you've sorted out.

this seems familiar to me. maybe some reported it years ago. glad you figured it out.

btw it seems some hen install methods may need correct date and time or it will error out. i think the ps3 assumes all certificates are invalid because they are newer than the ps3's time.
