PS3 how do I properly make external savefile backups?

I know it may sound stupid, but I don't know how does it work, I found the folder where all my savefiles are kept, but there are a few games, GTA IV for example, where if I try to copy my save, put it in a different user, it says that the savefile is not mine, does it record what user it was created in? does it record by my PSN account? is there a way to circumvent this?

Saves are tied to user by NP Account ID. To use it on another profile or console, You need to resign it. Eg. by Apollo Save Data Tool.
by NP Account ID you mean my PSN account, right? if so, it means that if I backup a save, get a new PS3, log into my account, it should recognize and allow me to use it normally?

PSN not exist. SEN replaced it many years ago. When user login to SEN first time, local user account getting NP Account ID which is the same id in all Sony consoles for that specific user and all saves on all platforms are tied to it.
