If you are on 4.87 then you dont have to use this file since you can already go online! This was just to bypass the update if you were on an older firmware version and go online.
This is as safe as you make it to be, if you just play games then its probably gonna be fine, if you use mods youll probably get banned so always keep in mind the possibility that you can get banned.

Ohhh ok understood. One more question tho. Will i get banned by playing online on games that i downloaded from 3rd party sites? If yes, what should i do or remember to use b'coz the only thing that i have here is a ps3 proxy. If No. Thank you so much.

New to this jailbreaking thing so very sorry for the little knowledge.

But to sign-in I had to use a Device Setup Password from Sοny.

Login to your PlayStation account using a computer or mobile web browser and generate a device password you then use that password they give you and use it with your email to login on the PS3 instead of your old password. There's YouTube tutorials for this have a look on there

Thanks I already fixed it, it was weird tho because I never had to do it.

This advice is wrong. The CFW syscalls should be disabled (R2+TRIANGLE) before going online.

Going online with CFW syscalls enabled increases the risk of being flagged for a ban.

I can't agree more with this. BUT, if you disable syscalls, you won't be able to go online with this method, that's why I mentioned it. I don't know why it doesn't work but for me whenever I disabled syscalls it didn't work
