PS3 How to force all PS2 classics to run at 60HZ on PAL PS3?

Hi all - tried installing the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 4 on my HEN PAL PS3 as a PS2 Classic and the game runs fine, but plays at the wrong refresh rate. It uses 50hz instead of the intended 60hz, meaning the game runs slow. I am using HDMI. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to use the 50hz PAL copy instead? Would prefer not to if possible.

Quick little update as I can't figure out how to edit - tried adjuting the display settings using the xRegistry.sys file, and my TV now says the refresh rate has changed to 60hz, but the game still runs slow. Very confused now.
