PS3 How to install CFW on a PS3 Fat running 4.93 OFW?

That's not good advice. The toolset hasn't been updated to support 4.93 yet. His best option is wait or install hen in the meantime.

Simply downgrade your firmware from a USB drive then do it, simplest way.

You can only do that with a hardware flasher. OP said the console is on OFW 4.93.

I'm new to all this, so to downgrade FM you need to be able to do use a hardware flasher and the problem at the moment is that the current flashers are not able to do the latest OFW?

use HEN for now. when bgtoolset is updated, use it and install cfw after. hen only needed until cfw is installed.
