PS3HEN How to prepare a PS2 game?

Hello.
There are a lot of instructions how to prepare a PS2 game for PS3 HEN but I'm unable to do anything with it. I want to install them so I have to convert them to pkg.

Basically this is what I'm doing:

- Downloaded PS3 splitter & PS2 Classics GUI
- Convert iso game to ISO.BIN.ENC
- Convert ISO.BIN.ENC to pkg
- Split pkg because it's too large for my FAT32 HDD
- Put pkg files to external drive, game isn't placed in any folder, just in the "maternal" HDD if you know what I mean
- Plug HDD to my PS3 SS
- Open Multiman -> Install pkg
- The game is highlighted on yellow, I can merge those files to prepare them for installation
- After merging, the game changes it's colour to red and now I'm able to install the game
- After pressing Install, multiman closes and that game is shown in Install package
- After like 30 minutes it installs and I'm able to open it
- After few seconds I see EA Games logo and FIFA and then all I get is NO SIGNAL

I tried to change PS2 smoothing into On and resolution or something like that to Full and it didn't help.

I have already installed one game using that method BUT without splitting into few parts because the pkg file is smaller than 4GB. What should I do to make it work? The game is FIFA 05 SLES52563

I'll give a try to my 32GB pendrive but I would like to have all of my games on external HDD with FAT32...

Do not split the PKG. It takes long time, too many steps and it may result in a corrupted merged file.

Use FTP to transfer the large PKG file directly to /dev_hdd0/packages
Then install the package from Package Manager.

Or use an NTFS pendrive, copy the large pkg file to PKG folder in the root of the device.
Attach the pendrive to PS3, use prepISO to scan the files, mount the PKG using webMAN MOD.

You can also transfer the ISO.BIN.ENC directly to /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO as FIFA 05 [SLES52563].BIN.ENC
Refresh the content list then mount the game using webMAN MOD.

OK, I will try that in a second.

Now I have tried to transfer ISO using FTP directly to PS2ISO folder and I see the game in Multiman in Retro tab but after clicking X it comes back to XMB with Unsupported data and when trying to launch it, it says that this PS3 system is incompatible with PS2

you can try using Apollo save tool to convert your ps2 ISOs

copy your ISO to dev_hdd0/PS2ISO , then go to the "User backup" menu in Apollo, and select the option to Encrypt ps2 classic ISO from HDD. Then just wait and you'll have a BIN.ENC file ready that you can load with webman mod and the PS2 classics Launcher.

PS3HEN does not support PS2 ISO. It only supports PS2 Classics.

You can use multiMAN or Apollo to covert the PS2 ISO to PS2 Classics.

OK, thanks for your help, I'm installing Fifa after creating enc and then pkg file which I have transferred through FTP and I will give you a feedback

Tried that as well but there's no Fifa anywhere. Refreshed PS3 games and Retro tab, tried to refresh games when in XMB on Webman tools but it's not there as well

// edit, nevermind, I had to reboot the console and install PS2 Placeholder. The problem is that after using webman to mount the game and clicking on PS2 Placeholder yet again the only thing I have is Playstation 2 logo and then EA Sports. Tried to run the game through my PS2 Emulator on PC and it works smoothly.

I'm afraid the version of Fifa I own is incompatible with PS3 HEN :(. I've got 2 CD's with exactly the same game and now I have to buy US version, that one is compatible, I think.
