Congratulations. You have an unpatched unit. This means you can jailbreak it completely through software. there's no need to tear it down.
The only special thing you need is a tiny piece of plastic called "jig."
Go ahead to https://rentry.org/SwitchHackingIsEasy and start from scratch. If you follow the tutorials correctly, there should not be a problem.
