signing into my PSN account when I'm at the main menu. If I start the game after signing into PSN from the XMB, my console will freeze.

This problem occured after I deleted my old profile with my old PSN account. I forgot to deactivate the account from my console and it's not possible for me recover the email for the account because the email is made up of random letters and numbers. Maybe that could be the cause of the problem.

Now I have to attach an RTM tool while in-game on the main menu before signing into PSN everytime I want to play Black Ops II or my console will freeze. I don't know what the problem is.

I made sure to check the system settings to find out what the problem is but the settings look fine to me. The NP enviroment is set to "np", game type debugger is set to "Disc Boot Game" as it always was set to but I did change it to "HDD Boot Game" to see if it would fix the problem, it didn't so I changed it back. The Region Settings is set to UK as the disc is BLES and Release Check Mode is set to "Release Mode". Boot Mode is set to "Release Mode" as it always was set to but I also changed that to "System Software Mode" but that didn't fix the problem so I changed it back. Network Settings for Debug is set to "Dual Settings". I also checked Rebug Toolbox and the settings looked fine too. I had Cobra enabled and CEX QA disabled which always were before this problem occured. I did enable CEX QA but it didn't fix the problem so I changed it back like the other settings I mentioned.

I reset my PS3 twice, ripped the Black Ops II ISO from the Blu-ray disc twice and I changed my firmware from 4.82 Rebug D-REX to 4.84.2 Rebug D-REX.

After I reset my PS3, I made sure to use the same PSN Patch version that the refurbished installed which I bought the console from but that also didn't fix the problem. 2015.11/A. I didn't know the exact version of IRISMAN, MULTIMAN and PSNINJA so I just installed the latest verisons. I also used SEN ENABLER 6.2.3 before the problem occured to spoof my console to 4.85. Despoofing and then respoofing didn't solve the problem.

I think the problem could be my PSID and my CID. I also remember enabling anti ban on the rtm once which could also be the source of the problem. If any developers can provide a solution, that would be amazing.

I forgot to mention that my host name and local IP is displayed as 0.0.0.0 on the bottom right of the XMB even when I have a internet connection and when signed into PSN which didn't occur when I didn't have that problem with Black Ops II.

that one is for Debbuging use when you connect to PS3 from your Computer using Target Manager you will see Host IP : "your PC IP Adress"

I dont know where to start... you have modified loads of DEX settings, you are using psn ninja that is out of date for years, you are using an old version of psnpatch, AND you are using SEN enabler. and you are cheating and spoofing etc etc...

Why don't you try getting back to some kind of a normal situation.
  • Remove spoof
  • Install REX
  • Reset console to factory defaults
  • Remove all stealth apps
  • Use fresh psn account
  • Use a new disc rip
  • Dont cheat

I switched to REX but then I switched back to D-REX for two reasons. Switching to REX didn't solve the problem and my PS3 would randomly reboot into recovery mode and force me to install 4.84 OFW. It would happen randomly while in-game. I was able to bypass that by quickly cancelling the update during the process when the system would check for the update file after it has been transfered from the USB drive to the system. I think its a Sony security measure to get rid of CFW consoles. It only affects CEX consoles.

I came to the conculsion that my IP address has been flagged by Activation causing my PS3 to freeze after signing into PSN. This probably happened after I used a modded eboot for a SPRX menu. My console ID wasn't banned probably because I installed the game as an .ISO file then mounting it as a disc essentially spoofing. I have to use SEN Enabler to sign into PSN because there isn't a D-REX 4.85 released by rebug yet. I admit it was wrong of me to mod on my old PSN account. I stopped now. I still need to use LezZo BO2 Extreme Tool 3.0.1 so I can sign into PSN. The RTM tool must have a build in anti-freeze.

The only black ops 2 problem I had was similar to yours.
Console would freeze when signing into psn on the main menu of Bo2 I tore my hair out for days.
Apparently, I had to leave the game at the main menu for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. After that time had passed, I could sign in and everything was peachy.

Only difference here though, my ps3 is a nonCFW slim running HEN. Latest firmware, so I don't need to mess around with firmware spoofing etc.

Maybe the same thing...

Do you use a VPN? If so, you could use this to change your IP and see if you can sign in. If your IP has been blocked by Sony, then you should be able to login using VPN. If this is the case, then yes, Sony has blocked your IP.

In REBUG Toolbox enable REBUG Mode in the System Operation Mode option. You do not not need to spoof your FW version DEX. I do this on 4.84 REBUG REX/D-REX and all I have to do to sign in is Disable the CFW SYSCAL's with PSN Patch.

EDIT: This only works if your Target ID is DEX.

PS3 would randomly reboot into recovery mode and force me to install 4.84 OFW.

You don't need to install OFW. Just re-install REBUG.

This can happen on BO2 wether on CFW, HEN or OFW.

Sign in before launching the game, when on the menu you will notice the smoke lagging along the bottom of the screen. Wait for this to stop lagging before pressing anything or selecting an option. This lag happenes when the PS3 is communicating/connecting to the Activision servers.

If you don't wait it will either crash the game or you will get the "Connecting to game Servers" notice but it will be in an infinate connection loop.
