I have been having troubles getting online instant bans, its on dex rebug with psn enabler, psn ninja and psn patch. I changed the memory to cex in rebug, im in np, crash reporting is off, qa toggle is off in rebug. Not sure what the issue is :\. I used to mod on ps3 then it sat when I moved out and stopped working. I have since been trying to mod new ones. had I working before I downgraded upgraded and converted to dex. My other one is working but I can't remember how I did it. I'm pulling my hair out and i don't want to waste anymore cid's as i've burned $50 already. Please help me
I have been using Rebug CFW with QA enabled, both in CEX & DEX on various consoles for many years without any protection & never got banned. My personal case does not make for a general rule of course however we can safely assume that if at your end you keep getting instant bans repeatedly despite using psnpatch, you should review your practices because you are obviously doing something ban prone.
1. Psninja has been obsolete for years, ever since PSNPatch & SEN Enabler were released in fact. You should remove it. Keep only psnpatch (preferably the plugin which is way more practical than the app) but use it properly, it does everything we know we can do to protect the console from bans. Never use several ban protection tools at the same time, it would be both redundant & pointless.
2. Avoid risky practices such as online gaming with GTA5 & COD.
Use OFW for that kind of gaming.
Don't play online with modded games or use cheats online, the more you do those things while on CFW, the more likely you will get banned.
3. Buying an idps (what you call CID) online for spoofing purposes is somewhat of a gamble. You don't know whether the same idps is being sold to others (a very likely outcome in many cases) & you don't know where it comes from in the first place. You might get banned automatically because you keep using dodgy idps.
The most reliable way to acquire a spare idps is to extract it from a dead/dying console yourself. YLOD consoles sell for under 10 bucks, those can also provide spare parts as well as an added bonus, as long as you get the same model as your own of course.
4. Nowadays it's quite easy to setup a dual boot system using the PS3 Toolset to flash the console & 2 internal hdds to swap CFW & OFW.
For those heavily gaming online who still wish to have CFW for other things, it is probably the safest option.
5. Finally, only 4.87 CFWs should be used to go online because it would appear that changes were made in OFW 4.87 that make connecting to PSN with an older firmware obvious to Sony servers despite any firmware version spoofing. Consequently, spoofing the firmware version on Rebug REX 4.84 & connecting to PSN should be considered risky.
Habib suggested a way to work around this problem some time ago, I haven't paid much attention so I cannot recall exactly what it was & I could be wrong but I think he talked about resigning the 4.87 system sprx file in charge of NP authentication & swapping it in your older CFW, something along those lines. If you search his more recent post history, you should find it easily as he hasn't really posted much if at all since then.
