So I have a lot of digital titles I bought from the PSN store and Im planning to give my PS3 away soon, my question is is there a way to make it so that those PSN bought games are unsigned/unattached so that the new recipient can have access to and play all those games (and still earn trophies) on their OWN psn account without needing access to mine? Like can I convert those to pkg files or something? I know i can dump all my physical games, so basically can I "dump" all my digital ones too?

The only thing I can think of might be getting PKGi and redownloading ALL those games again that way, but that would be too much work, especially for games I already have on the hard drive, plus we ALL know how SLOW a ps3 downloads and installs stuff (does having a jailbroken PS3 fix that?)

if you remove your PSN account, they will stop working, unless the new owner also bought the same versions of the same games (and adds their PSN account).

you can not legally transfer the games to a different account (or even transfer your account to a different person). this is prohibited by Sony's terms of service.

well yes I know THAT, but that also isnt the question I asked

if you asking how to give them the games for free, we can not help you with that here. it is against the site rules because it is piracy.

if you are asking something else, please clarify.

I would have to disagree with that being piracy. For example if I go out and buy lets say Final Fantasy 13 and give that to you is that piracy? If someone buys you games for your bday or xmas are they committing piracy? No because they purchased those games legally, what they do with them afterwards is their business.

Now if I were asking you how to get on PKGj and download a bunch of games that I dont own, or jailbreak a PS3 and fill it to the brim with pirated games I never owned then sell that PS3 to someone for an absurd price then I would agree that THAT is indeed piracy (especially the later because now not only am i illegally obtaining things I dont own, then Im now SELLING it and making money off something that isnt mine... thats even worse than piracy and would be lawsuits waiting to happen)

i agree that your examples are not piracy. buying a disc is different because the disc itself is transferable. it is no different than buying a book or dvd movie.

however, sony's terms of service prohibit you from selling (or even giving away) psn downloaded games. therefore it is piracy because you have no legal right to do so. it may seem unfair but it the law. this is exactly the same with videos purchased from google play or games bought on steam.

as your intent here is clear, i must close the thread. even if i agreed with you, telling you how to keep the games playable also help pirates.
