I don't know much about this, but I am very curious. @ReneRebeTM has been working on RSX hardware acceleration for a long time. If @ReneRebeTM does this job, what can the developers do extra?
What will RSX hardware acceleration bring to developers or what can they do?

You could run native linux games, applications (like emulators, which need GPU power to work properly) made for PPC architecture.

PS3 would be like jailbroken PS4 with PSXITA Linux, you could do so much more, for example Dreamcast and N64 emulation.

There is a combination that would be interesting to try, the idea is to use QEMU to emulate an intel processor, and then try to install https://www.android-x86.org/
Im mentioning intel because android-x86 is only compatible with a few intel processors (intel atom series mostly)
I dont think is going to have a great performance, but just for the sake of having android running in a PS3... this would allow to run android games/apps :)

*And i guess the same can be made to run microsoft windows... but is better to use an old version, like windows 2000, or windows XP

PS3's RAM is too low. Isn't it?
