I'm having trouble getting PS2 games to show up

I followed this guide:

I did everything correctly. But the problem is the PS2 game won't show up on xmb. Instead it says "unsupported data" "this model of the PS3 system is not compatible with playstation 2 format software".

What am I doing wrong?

If you're using "HEN" this method is not valid.

Use multiMAN 4.70.00 in normal mode then go to Retro column and you will see your ISO files. Press triangle and you will be able to convert your ISO to compatible format to launch with PS2 Classics launcher. They have to be encrypted in order to work properly.

You can install that by using webman mod and going over to the addons section

Yes you will have to delete the other ones as it's a higher version. And you can grab the complete PS2 Classics Launcher v1.03 by @habib with the needed rap file off brewology

Did everything correctly. When I try to launch the game, my console shuts itself completely off. I've been at this for days. I don't get it. I'm not stupid. I was able to successfully hack my psp, Vita, 3ds, wii, Wii U. Why is the PS3 so hard?

I'm in the same boat as you are if I come up with something I'll post it here I also get unsupported data ...I'll post here when I get it going

I use ps2 classics GUI on my computer to convert the game into a package and then install on my ps3, It seems to work that way. Hope this helps... if this is still an issue.
