im stumped should i re jailbreak my slim?

so i have a ps3 slim which had CFW on it but the hard drive died. so i put in the new hard drive powered on the ps3 and it says press the ps button and then it says insert a usb device with 4.88 or later since my system was already jailbroken before the hdd died on me i put 4.88 evilnat and the darn ps3 says theres no applicable firmware on the fat32 usb drive please help
 
Have you tried another flash drive?
Which USB ports do you insert the drive? It needs to be inserted in the most right hand port. (The one near the bd drive)
One another thing to check, make sure the USB drive is initiated as MBR. Ones I had this problem when I used the drive for installing windows 10 before. The app which prepares the bootable drive reinitiated the drive as GPT so PS3 couldn't reed it anymore.

yup MBR and right usb port i think ima just re jailbreak it
