Hey all,
I recently jailbroke my old PS3 as the disc drive stopped working and wanted something to play. Everything has been working fine til recently where I've been unable to open any applications nor games. At the moment, these issues consist mainly of being able to load "discs" and them not showing up on screen or sometimes not being able to mount at all. This issue also affects games bought from PS Store aswell as being unable to load firmware apps (eg. Multiman/Managunz). Ultimately once these have been clicked I'm met with an unfixable black screen.
I've looked through the forums to see how to solve the issue yet haven't been able to find a consistent fix,.
This has ranged from rebuilding the database from safe-mode to adjusting date/time settings. These sometimes work for a day or two before I'm back to square one.
I'm not particularly sure what the actual issue is and can't nail it down to one particular issue. Additional and more in-depth information can be added if needed, and any help is greatly appreciated. I've put some general specs down below!
