PS3 Inquiry regarding PS3 Homewbrew (particularly CFW)

Hi there, I have a Phat NTSC PS3 with an 80 GB internal Hard Drive. For a while, I have already since CFW-enabled it through the proper steps, and am currently on the CEX form of CFW. I am planning on updating to the latest Evilnat version (4.92.2) soon. my question is this: If I plan to update with the PEX version of Evilnat CFW, via USB flash drive, how can I be sure to avoid any errors? Or is it safer to stay on CEX Evilnat when making an update?

Now, What should be done so that I can receive trophy achievements on my CFW'd PS3 on my main PSN account? What needs to be done in such a case as that?

You need to turn console on and start playing game.
The Syscalls need to have their settings changed in order to sign in to PSN with a CFW-enabled PS3, though. I'll try and figure that part out. I really don't want to lose my PS3 trophies that I obtained from before the CFW treatment. Hmmmm... maybe I could try making a separate account or something as part of some backup strategy?

If you already have SEN account, you don't need do anything, that was my point. If you don't have, you can make new/bind old. And as always, you shouldn't use SEN on hacked PS3 because that's always risking in SEN account ban and console ban.

Backup strategy is only one: backup PS3 stuff on PC. :P

SEN, huh? I honestly can't say I know what that stands for.
Also, how about the program known as PSNpatch?

For what reason specifically?
I mean PSNpatch for the purpose of clearing things up for less risky use of a CFW-enabled PS3 on official PSN servers. Instead of going through the calibrating of syscalls and such, said plugin program can, for a time, turn off CFW and spoof system FW number from what I've read. In case one wants to re-activate CFW, all that needs to be done is to reboot the system, or if not, turn the PS3 off, then on again.

Totally pointless. You cannot avoid been flagged.
Well, then if you truly say so regarding the risks of playing on official PSN servers with a CFW-enabled PS3. Still, I have a question, why can't PSNpatch work anymore like it used to? What made the dev team of that program give up after the late 2010s? :confused3::blue::frown:

It never worked in meaning that you never become transparent for the SEN and games. It is because CFW or payload which eg HEN injecting, adding some syscalls, patching some things in memory or physically and homebrew leaving traces here and there. It was never been safe and never will be. The question is if Sony even bother any longer, or these online game developers. Regarding how countermeasures user done. The message is simple: if you hacked PS3, try to avoid SEN usage as much as possible. There is no magic application which can hide you. people who claims that have zero knowledge about what data Sony gathering, in which potential ways and how online games can checking you.

I've been playing a lot of Helldivers 1 on my CFW-enabled PS3 for the past few months without issue, but I'm not aware of any other online multiplayer PS3 games that are still active. Before that, I've even went into the Playstation store and downloaded some free DLC for a couple of games that I installed on my SSD..
FYI, I did install the PSNpatch during the initial CFW installation process.

EDIT: My PSN account is over 15 years old, and I had the latest OFW already installed before I did any shenanigans to my PS3..

Oh yeah, that is definitely true for CFW-enabled PS3s for sure.
