Hello all, I'm new to all this. I'm trying to get to jailbreaking my PS4, from which I have read requires OS 6.72 or below. I have a new SSD and whenever I boot in safe mode to install the OS, it says theres a newer latest release and just stops there. How do I get passed this and just install the OS that I want on my new SSD. I can't seem to find any info on this. Thank you for any help.

When you power on the console with the new SSD, it should show you what firmware is required to install. You can only install that version or higher, not lower than the requested version.

Besides that, last hackable fw is 9.00. If You want make update, You need update package (~400MiB), but for storage changing, You need full package (~900MiB).

Seems You also not understand that fw isn't installed fully on HDD, but crucial part lies on NOR (?) flash. That's how it is preventing from downgrades since PS3.

sorry but I have no clue what you're telling me. I just want to know what steps I need to take to install an OS so can jailbreak it.
