That needs to be done by @bguerville on the website first. Obviously it will redirect you to https ATM. What I said (please, read my post again after reading this message) is that if @bguerville doesn't finds a solution this weekend, he could simply set the redirections to http:// instead of https:// as a temporary workaround.

Accessing a resource under HTTPS protocol still requires initialising SSL, which includes the response that would serve as an HTTP redirect. That means nothing would change for the end user, and would invalidate the presence of the instance using SSL. Reading other topics, it seems that the redirect to HTTPS only existed since a few months ago.

All in all, I feel like removing the redirect entirely would be the best idea overall as <4.83 can't access it at all due to outdated root certs.

I truly hope it gets fixed today. I just got a ps3 to jailbreak with cfw and now I can't

It should be fixed by now.

i also can't get to psx-place on ps3. is that related to this problem?
i used to be able to get there cause i used it as a gateway to get to ps3xploit website. i even tried the http instead of https since that fixes some things for some reason

PSX-Place's SSL certificate uses the same central authority, that's all I'm noticing. Whether it's the root certificate missing, or there's some other SSL/TLS-related shenanigans happening under the hood (enforced at the same time by the CA, Google), I am not qualified to say, but it sounds like it's indirectly related, yes.

Oh wow. I only came on here to report an issue I was having. Do you know what these people have to go through to find these exploits and then let us use them for free? Why would you be so rude about that? They are providing a free service for us that they don't have to. If you ruin this for me because you're too impatient, then you can go find your own methods.

Or, you could do what @MrMario2011 said and donate if you're on a position to do so.
The work made by @bguerville is tremendous and it can't be measured by any amount.

I don't particularly care what you want or need, I am not your employee, you don't pay me and I don't owe you anything. No news, no fix, nothing...
It turns out I have a life also, my own priorities about which you know nothing..

If you're not happy, get alternative solutions.

Comments like that always make us devs feel like postponing the work for say another month just to teach you an important lesson you seem to need & obviously overlooked to learn, that one about biting the hand that feeds you.. rings a bell?

Keep insisting, just to see the result, I dare you..

I AM thinking about everyone else, I have been for many years..
If I weren't, this private project public access would be long shut down because comments like this happen every single time there's an update, a glitch or whatever issue.
It's getting old and frankly unacceptable in a community like ours that can ONLY thrive on good will and support.

Man, I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I honestly feel your pain. I run a Discord support server for a cloud gaming app and we have all these kids that join and do the same thing: "give me this now. I want it.". We've had to cancel a few promotions because of it. I'd rather you didn't cancel anything, but I definitely wouldn't blame you.
 
I am not sure yet, I don't get home until tomorrow and I don't travel with the hosting creds on me, I can't yet check what the situation really is.

If ever the Google Trust Services certs CA was upgraded and the current cert can no longer work on PS3, replacing the cert with another one might not be as easy as one may think.
The free let's encrypt certs used to work BUT they have also been upgraded (or will be in a matter of weeks) iirc. And finding a ps3 compliant paid certificate I can install on the host was a real bummer already 2 years ago, I only expect the situation to be worse now.
If someone has a guaranteed compliant SSL certificate solution to propose to avoid myself more potential headaches, I am all ears... however http is not a solution, I don't intend to turn off https, I need it for the features in the coming update.
Removing SSL would have a huge impact for me and I would have to rethink/recode some of the new file manager component and remove some of its features..

Honestly postpone the work for a month bruh this kid has to learn his lesson all us adults will keep waiting my modded console can happily sit unmodded until the day this dudes ps3 gets the ylod
