PS3 Internet Browser problems

Whats up guys,
So I stayed up till like 4 last night trying to figure this out and am having some trouble with it. Don't want to sound repetitive, But I am having a similar issue. Visiting the ps3 tools site does give me the error 80710a06. However, going to the ps3 exploit site works just fine
One thing I have noticed, I visited the ps3 tools site and left it for a while, I mean for a long time, and came back to a screen that was partially loaded with a dark grey Background.
After that, it never really happened again, however.
I am currently running some sort of hybrid OFW/CFW idk what its actually called, its like an exploit I installed through my FAT32 USB, because I was following like a tutorial on youtube and came to the part to visit the ps3 tools site and I am now stuck.

Please let me now if I have to clarify anything I would love to cooperate.

est regards

On ps3toolset.com, the https redirect is perfectly normal, changing DNS won't change it.
Not sure why the Toolset doesn't load though, the ssl certificate should be valid afaik.
I will look into this over the weekend.

ok

It did til settings were changed in the toolset to stop it since it gets 403 forbidden and access denied on the framework download causing it to not work now.

Thanks, I'm not having luck with the PS3 huh? First I try to JB it on 4th of July (july 3rd worked fine), and now the proxy method doesn't work, dang it.

So... the proxy method doesn't work? Oof, I was going to use it :/
yeah not anymore
Dear all, trying the mitm process to overcome this issue, I was able to fetch ps3toolset
but ps3 web browser reports, "The ps3 explotation framework download failed" not yet able to download this tool, Thanks @bguerville for all the effort done by now
Looks something on my mitmweb server configuration, will try again and reply if found something.
just like me, please let me know if you have succeeded, try it and share it with this community, thank you for your attention

So the title says it all

I tried the mitmweb.exe method to connect to the site, it works but then it gives an error on ps3toolset.
It doesn't initialize the actual CFW process

any help?

Trying to connect from belgium btw.

Did you read through the thread? There's really no help until the devs fix the issue

from my observation, if we can ask ps3toolset server administrator to change their nginx/apache for the ssl_prefer_server_ciphers to off, maybe this ssl cipher issue might be solved.
i believe current configuration for ssl_prefer_server_ciphers is set to on

It will be solved, but also make the server prone to attacks, making it offline (or banned) like it had happened in the past.

It can configure only for spesific virtual host / directory, because the client is our ps3 web browser which is very old and only support tls 1.2 with aes128 sha256 cipher.

Is there any eta of when it will be working again?
No, unfortunately not. I am also quite as impatient as you are, however even so, asking for an ETA isn't going to get us anywhere. Sure you can beg and plead for the developers to hurry it up and finish because your "oh so important" but ultimately, solutions take time, and while I certainly hate it, not much can be done at the moment. It's better to let bguerville have all the time he needs to do what is necessary, after all, the developer knows what is best, not some petty complainer.

setup your own proxy server:
first, download free opensource https proxy from mitmproxy.org
second, install but uncheck "launch .. now" just click finish.
open installation folder, default is "C:\Program Files\mitmproxy", double klik mitmweb.exe inside bin folder.
it will open new window with this message "HTTP(S) proxy listening at *:8080." (it need windows permission to All
now your proxy server is ready to use.
proxy address : is your pc ip address, If you dont know what is your pc ip address, open cmd then type ipconfig
port : 8080

set ps3 proxy address:
next, setup ps3 internet connection, go to network setting choose "Custom" not easy, because you need to set proxy address and port manually. Follow network setup until it finished.
If your network test result is Success, your ps3 internet browser should be able to open bgtoolset website without problem.

it worked but i have a dns error shall ichange the dns ?

MITM proxy will not allow the exploit to download, only the site will load and fail on the exploit. Just waiting at this point, I'm not sure how much stuff other than the certs he's having to deal with but sounds like his provider may not have it where he can just hop in and change certs on a whim, these things take time. For now, HEN can probably accomplish most of what you need to do until CFW is back on the menu.
