Hey Guys,

My name is steve. I'm 37 years old and been gaming since I was 5.

I have my own little setup.

A GDEMU dreamcast.
an N64 with a Summercart64
A psx with a soon to be installed xstation.
And my PS2. The PS2 currently has a freemcboot memory card, procured on the internet god knows where. It came preinstalled with several different versions of OPL amongst other things.

Right now my setup is:

OPL 1.1.0 (10th) that I use to access VCD Ps1 games on the 256gb USB Drive
OPL 1.2.0.6 that I use to access iso Ps2 games on the exFat 2TB Internal HDD

The freeMcBoot also has (which I have no idea how to use at all)
Simple Media System (SMS)
CodeBreaker
USB Advance
GSM 0.38
PS2INFO GB
FCEU Packed BO13
PGEN v1.5.1 SNES STATION
GBA TEMP

So if you know anything about these, feel free to let me know.

Otherwise, just saying howdy!

Hello.

Best flashcard for N64.

Buy MMCE. ;) And/or get rid of that crap.

About your list, in order:
opl db the crappy fork, opl gd fork for exfat on internal, media player, cheat device, game loader from usb, upscaller, gbc emu, nes emu, md emu, snes emu, gba emu.

Is there any info on those latter emulators? i.e. where and how to store games? Obviously OPL is very particular about what folders you drop games into and what you name them.

They have file browser, so you not need any specific paths AFAIR. But the supporting only PS2MC, USB (FAT32 on MBR only!) and eventually PFS on APA.

Games stores on MicroSD card, on exFAT partition, like in USB case (so everything you will read about USB in OPL you can fit to MMCE). Driver in OPL will tell emulator what to do. MMCEs are in one device at the same time: PSXMC/PS2MC and MX4SIO in some meaning. For now, only dedicated OPL supporting MMCE.

I just put in a pre-order for Memory Card Pro 2 with stone age gamers. Is that an MMCE?

Oh that's great.

Yea I've been having trouble with my current install. It's very strange.

I have OPL 1.2 which can read and play my exfat 2TB HDD. I have no problem playing and saving.

I have a 32 GB USB thumb drive. That has pops on it with psx vcds.

Listen to this.
When I run it with my 32gb USB drive. I can play via 1.1.0 10th and it will create VMCs, and it will save and everything.

So I figured, hey let me get a bigger thumb drive. Well I got a 64gb and a 256gb thumbs drive. Both of them strangely don't work despite both being fat32.

The 64gb wont open the games, it just launches back to uLaunchElf. The 256gb WILL launch the games but refuses to create any VMC folders or even read ones I manually create.

So strange.

Yes.

Keep in mind that it can serve currently only as:
  • virtual PSX mc
  • virtual PS2 mc
  • media for PS2 games from which you can play
Nothing else supporting it (emulators, media players etc. including POPStarter).

Here you have links to homepages:

That's all good.
I don't plan on using it as PS2 media storage device. I have a 2TB internal that I use for that.

I plan on modding my fat grey PlayStation when my xstation comes in.

Then I can use the memcard pro for my saved games between the systems.
