PS3HEN IrisMan 4.88 black screens?

Hi, I installed IrisMan 4.88 via USB and the icon showed up on XMB. Clicking the icon sends me into a black screen which I heard was normal, but this lasted for several minutes. I was able to get a beep out of the eject disk button but the power button didn't do anything for me and I had to unplug the console. First time ever trying IrisMan, any suggestions as to why this happened?
 
Delete IRISMAN and reinstall it again. Launch it with all all USB devices unplugged.

If it starts fine, then the issue is some files in your USB device.
