PSP Is my battery gone?

The PSP wont turn on when only the battery is connected. The PSP will turn on when the AC adapter is connected regardless if the battery is installed. When I check battery info in ptester, when the battery is connected, it rapidly flashes between present and not present. Everything else besides AC adapter present shows error and the battery is not charging. Is this a battery fault or is there something wrong with the main board?

could be a bad connection, check the connectors on corrosion or any damage are they straight or bend a bit? look into the battery connector if the springed contacts are all fare enough out to make a good contact to the 3 pinds of the psp it self. use some ipa to clean both or a fiber glas pen to screts any dirt of and try again. if it remains it sounds like a defektiv battery to say it in simple words. could be anything inside the psp battery itself but that would at least exclude anything btu the battery. oipening up a lithium battery without any experience is quite dangerous you can cause serious harm to your self and your sourundings when damaging the cell itself so be warned if you like to open it up to inspect the pcb of the battery.

IS it a OG sony bat? is not throw it away and by a new one, isn't worth trying when it is a cheap copy
