Hi! I just helped my friend install PS3HEN on his ps3 in hope of playing ps4 on the ps3. It doesn't have to run great at all.

They say that in order to emulate a system, your one needs to be around 10x more powerful. The ps4 is about 9x more powerful than the ps3 so you'd need 100 or so ps3 to have enough power

It's very easy to see this as a joke. You can't ask for an Xbox to have a Playstation 3 Emulator, just like you can't ask for a Wii to run Wii U games (especially the last one).

Um not been around the scene long? This is asked often, seriously and for decades. Recall people asking for PS2 on PS1 or PS2 on Dreamcast and so on and so on as far back as homebrew became a thing.

but on my wii experience I see some experimental emulator (half working) ds emu on wii... and wii can emulate ps1 and n64 pretty well... and I remember my pentium with 3dfx with 512ram emulate killer instinct (and my android can't do it full speed for lack of dynarec on mame and absence of killer instinct emulator). but obviously next generation on previous is stupid question... so why n64 on wii and not on ps3?

Because the dynarec came very late for the PS3 and it's a bit of an odd duck. 64bit but uses 32bit pointers. The homebrew community is small nowadays for the PS3 and most have lost interest a long time ago. The system is already kinda a pain to develop for any how. No one with the needed skills has stepped up. It is easier, faster and much larger communities out there then the PS3.

to this day we don't have a sega saturn emulator for these reasons. ps3 is very difficult to program but has potential in the right hands

This an due to the weird architecture existing dynarec for existing emulators would need to be retooled. Effort vs reward just isn't there with only a handful of devs still active.
