PS3 Issue with retroarch

Hi guys, I need your help! I have used retroarch on my ps3 for some time now and never had any issue... tried to play this morning but when I launch the homebrew, screen goes black and then back on the xmb I uninstalled it and installed the latest version and it worked fine... until tonight when the same issue happened again... any idea what might be causing the problem? Thanks for your help!

Do you have the same issue (black screen and then returning to XMB) with any other homebrew apps, or is it just with RetroArch?

Try installing another (earlier version, if you have v1.9.0 installed already which is the link provided on Brewology) of the packages from here if you haven't already, and see if you still have issues.
