PS2 Issues with Mobile Suit Gundam: Journey to Jaburo

Hey guys, new to the forum so forgive me if this isn't exactly protocol but I just had a quick question that I can't find the answer to anywhere else.

So I just softmodded my phat ps2 with freemcboot to run the newest build of grimdoomer's opl, I believe v1.2.0.6-1996 Beta, with an internal hdd and so far everything is going well but I've run into a compatibility issue.

I started up Mobile Suit Gundam: Journey to Jaburo and it's giving me all kinds of weird issues. It freezes in the middle of cinemas, it locks up at loading screens, but it's all varied and random. It never happens at the same points and it doesn't seem so far to occur during actual gameplay. All of the compatibility lists I'm finding just list it as working with no mention of changing modes. The dump matches the md5 on redump so I don't believe that that's the issue.

Has anyone heard of any issues with this game? I know different versions of opl can sometimes cause compatibility problems but I have to stick to grimdoomer's fork because of the size of the hard drive and the way I'm transferring the iso's to the hdd.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

@1052 Thank you. I hadn't seen that specific compatibility list before. I tried putting the game in mode 1 and was still having issues, but at least now I know someone else has experienced problems with the game as well. I'll keep that list in case I have troubles with any other games.
