Hi,
So about 3 days ago I got a ps3 with rlod for like, 30 bucks (in box!) and after doing a syscon diagnosis I did a quick reflow to it. Put the console back together and somehow, it worked. Well, it wasnt that easy, the reflow took about 20 mins and I actually think I did a "proper" reflow. Anyway, no delids here, just put mx-5 on both the cell and the rsx, bended the clamps a bit and thats all. Well, with webman set to auto at 74c and minimum fan speed at 31% there were already some issues. The temps are really random. At idle, either the cell will be at like 67-68 and the rsx below 60, or the rsx around 67-68 with the cell below 60. The second case happens very rarely though. In games, the cell gets way hoter than the rsx, which is just really weird to me but the rsx can get hot too at times. All in all, the temps are really random, they never are too high, because of webman of course but they are very imbalanced. Sometimes they do go high though. I tried playing black ops 2 today and the cell reached 74c which has happened before but this time it gave me an rlod. All of this, with the rsx hovering around 66-69c which again, makes zero sense to me.
Is this a pressure issue? How? Why can either the cell be higher than the rsx or vise versa? If it was a pressure issue then there should only be one case right? And why did my system give me a rlod now? It has reached 74c before and this had never happened. And I dont consider 74c and extremely dangerous temperature. Also, in case you think the airflow failed, the console still works.
