PS3 Locked out of my PS3

Greetings, apologies if this is in the wrong section, this is my first time posting on a forum.. ever.
I have a PS3 Slim CECH-2503B, I hacked it and put the lastest Evilnat Cobra CFW on it, installed Webman, the usual. I however only own a DualShock 4 V2 so I used that with a USB cable fine, but the PS button and gyro didn't work. I got adviced to use PS3XPAD for that, so I looked up on how to set that up, followed the steps putting it in the plugins folder and adding it to boot_plugins. It didn't work, so I was told to add the V2's custom values from Steam Controller Database to the controller list of PS3XPAD. I did that, stupidly replacing the original DualShock 4 values instead of adding the new ones on as a new controller and on next restart I was locked out of my PS3 - the gamepad just refuses to connect. Pressing the PS button while the USB is plugged in results in the controller just flashing for a few seconds then shutting off again. I tried the PS3XPAD key combos like start+select+dpaddown and all others I could find and nothing worked, I then tried the empty boot_plugins.txt on a USB fix and that didn't work either. I even used the same USB that I used for installing the CFW so I'm 100% sure it recognises it. No matter what I've tried, nothing's worked and I'm getting desperate. I can't afford to purchase another controller. I thought about a PS Blu-Ray Remote since that's super cheap, but that needs pairing before use, which I can't really do. I'd be very grateful if somebody could lead me in the right direction to fixing this, as nobody in my local area wants to sell their gamepad separately for a price I can afford either, so I'm kind of out of options.
Thank you in advance.

use a keyboard to move around screen for now. i think f1-f4 (or maybe esc and some function keys) is the same as cross, circle, triangle, etc. maybe enter is cross, i dont remember.

if you have ftp setup, use it to delete or edit the boot_plugins.txt on the hard drive. i think cfw does not check usb for the file but i may wrong.

ds4 ps button and rumble will not work with ps3. the bluray remote can be used for ps button with ds4.

also webman can simulate button presses with /pad.ps3 commands. see "misc" tab on this page.

Thank you for the reply!! You've given me hope.
I'll attempt the keyboard. Regarding FTP, as far as I know it only turns on when you open webman itself, so restarting the PS3 turns it off with no way to turn it on without getting to webman in the first place. I will use that if the keyboard works though, thank you.
And yeah, I'll get rid of ps3xpad and use a PS remote for the PS button instead, once I get out of this situation.
Again, thank you sincerely, I was getting quite hopeless

webman's ftp should run all the time (unless you changed a setting). if not multiman or rebug toolbox will have one running while they are open. (multiman's can be turned off. you should only have one running anyway.)

Any PS3 mod with Cobra as far as I know reads this file first on usb then on hdd regardless if it is hen or cfw, so it is possible to deactivate plugins without using ftp or formatting the whole hard drive, just place a empty boot_plugins.txt on the root of a usb drive and connect to the console as soon as you turn on. It happened on me with my hen console, everytime I activated hen it would freeze because of ps3xpad and managed to deactivate the plugin doing this, since I always disable network connection and it is not possible to ftp when outside hen (since it would freeze when activated).

that would make sense, because on other comparable consoles, like the 360, usb is always read first in case there's a problem. that way you can fix it.

i just tried with empty boot_plugins.txt on usb000. webman started normally. it probably should be added to cobra...

i do know from looking at HEN's code that either usb000 and usb001 will work. but of course some ps3's have usb006 instead of usb000 (probably should add that too).

BTW boot_plugins.txt will NOT get deleted in recovery mode because HEN will not be enabled...

that's how they have it with daslaunch on the 360. the launch.ini from usb should override the one on the internal hdd for the reason I mentioned. same with the vita and its config.txt. the one on the mciro sd overrides the one on ur0 for the same reason. it's a safety precaution. I've never tried this on the ps3. the only plugins I have are wmm and psn patch iirc. they're on the internal hdd though (never tried external, since I don't even have an external drive).

One easy way is to enable hdmi-cec (Control over HDMI on System Settings afaik), you dont need PS remote for this specific function. HDMI-CEC uses the remote of your tv to control other device (like the PS3), what it means that if you press the "Home" button on your tv remote it should bring xmb menu fine since it is impossible on a DS4 itself. Unfortunately it is not enabled by default, but it is a very useful feature and should be always enabled.

Waht I am thinking is that, if you have this option enabled and sync on your tv, you can install a package and start an app with ftp support so that you can delete the boot_plugins on the hdd. Multiman will not work (unfortunately since Mutiman activates ftp as soon as you start the app) since you have webman and it is known to have issues with freezing if you have webman installed and irisman you need to press START and click on Enable FTP. These simple steps makes it near impossible to work on hdmi-cec since hdmi-cec doesnt tend to map any buttons on the remote with the START buttons on the console and I dont know if managunz have ftp support since the only times that I used it it just crashed.
