PS3 Making a Big PKG

I'm using the FREE Pkg.bat since always

it always worked good, but recently i made some changes with my mod, and it got twice as bigger

450MB

but now the pkg after a while abour 50 minutes because i have a lot of files gives me the error that the pkg file cannot be created.

I have two folders for the 2 variants of my mod, if i let only one it works with about 230MB

but with the 2 variants it will give me the error but will compile it just with one of them

Any tips?

I don't know of free pkg.bat..Are you talking about XMBM+ installer app, or lmn7s custom "dev_blind" pkgs or something else?

I don't know about that bat, but I thought there was a restriction to 4,096 files for a pkg being created with make_package_npdrm. I'm not sure if that's still true, cuz little big planet has over 50,000 files if you use the official package.

I have 9.658 files, with half of it it works

Yeap i'm using the XMBM+ installer app.

Maybe i'll switch back to the way i was used

PS3~dev_blind~XXXX
PS3~dev_hdd0~XXXX

for each folder, having multiple of them, i changed it just to two

PS3~dev_blind
PS3~dev_hdd0

so maybe this is the problem.

But with just the 1. Pro
it works in this way

adding the 2. 4K with the same file extructure it gives error

hmm...not sure then. one of the ps3 tools can make a package if you right click a folder. it could be the content id one.

I think I remember that error. it's a restriction from what I remember, deliberately. you may have to find another app or an updated version of the app/bat you're using.

if the two pkgs are cfw and hen then i vote to make seperate pkgs (its up to you of course). it saves bandwidth for both user and server.

In my case, the id is SMWPS3XXXX something, I guess it's reading the id from a previous cache or something

Edit: I used TrueAncestor PKG Repacker to do this, with PARAM.SFO patching disabled and EBOOT.BIN resigning disabled

I have created PKG with PARAM.HIS for my Gimmick RetroArch repack few years ago. But forgot the details. For sure I have used Aldostools cli tool (makepkg?).

Okay

I found some new 'bugs'

PARAM.HIS is beeing ingnored and not added in the PKG.
PIC1_17.PNG ( my language =( ) and PIC1_18.PNG are being ignored too

I'm using psn_package_npdrm.exe

I don't know but when i use the psn_package_npdrm , the packaged is 980 Mb but on xmb it says it is just 71 MB

i'm having this issue since my last version ( and it does not install all the files) when i started to use this, since the .bat i use to compile are giving me erros since i have more than 9 depth paths.

TrueAncestor gives me errors of 9 depth paths too, so i rearranged and it does not complains about that but gives me PKG ABORTED.
