Manually install ps3 DLC

I searched, but everywhere I looked, every dlc information included packages (pkg files), however, I have DLC in its raw form:

.RAP files and .EDAT

I do not know which locations in the directory structure these files belong to get them to work. After scouring the internet I learned that RAP file belong in your "dev_hdd0/home/00000001(User number)/exdata" directory, and your edat file belong in 1 of 2 directories, either: dev_hdd0/game/BLES00000/USRDIR or dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES00000/PS3_GAME/USRDIR

I have followed this advice, but the DLC does not show up in Save Data or in the actual game.
I have all the .rap files in my exdata directory, and I have actually put the dlc .edat files into both locations, but still nothing.

Does anyone have any experience with this, and can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It was a Mega link from someone who extracted the files from their directories so they could get them working on the ps3 emu and let others know how to install them to work on a ps3 emu. Where as I'm trying to get them to work on my actual ps3.

To further add to he reasons for thread closure, PSX-Place doesn't help a pirate with piracy.
There are legitimate reasons to HEN/CFW. Homebrew and backups of your legally owned games being 2.
