PS3 Mortal Kombat 9 Modding Universe

As an additional note I want to detail that the index patching process has been made semi-automatic and not fully automatic since in the last case the risk of an error pretty much high if I do not take in count all of the export lists of all the characters and their costumes, export lists from npc packages and export lists of all the stages that contain more npc.
All of that can be easily saved by setting the program to a semi-automatic configuration (by letting the user choose indices among different options), thus making it possible to reverse any kind of mistake that may occur during this process.
What kind of errors? From game crashes to material swap which can affect textures.

I'd like to point out two things that I have been going through and that I haven't found in other places, since this site seems to be the only one dedicated to ps3 mk9 modding.

Two important tips that may result useful when trying to clone costumes and making meshswaps

Cloning costumes:
I recommend using the GenericRenamer 2.2 by HowardC. You can find newer versions of this tool but they seem to fail for some reason and you will need assistances of a hex editor to replace remaining strings. Follow the instructions provided along with the renamer tool. And to summarize it:

IF CLONING MAIN COSTUMES: Only first checkbox must be activated.

IF CLONING ALT COSTUMES: First and second checkbox activated.

IF CLONING RETRO COSTUMES: First and third checkbox activated.

MeshSwapping:
For this kind of mods you need to combine previous skills like cloning costumes and injecting textures. And of course you will also need the mesh swap tool that you can find in this same forum.
In my experience, some errors while renaming or injecting textures might appear for unknown reasons and in some cases. These errors are produced by modding tools themselves.

To "bypass" these issues I strongly recommend following these next steps:
Rename-->InjectTextures-->PerformMeshSwap

This is the most effective way that I found. Even if you only want to make a texture mod.

Thank you. Remember that this was already possible. Almost every swap that you can think of is possible with only aman's re-indexer which follows Tetzrep's method. My contribution here is to make index/npc header patching and mesh injection easier for you. So every update I make considers only my tool (mk9fixor.exe).

No funciona ninguno de los dos archivos, se detiene en 24%. Extraje el archivo con PS3 extractor y está vacío. Deberías subir los archivos del personaje en una carpeta rar. Y ponerlo directamente a la carpeta del juego con multiman o webman.

wow, I'm too much late but anyways, the mod will be remade in a working pkg soon.

Is it possible to edit the texture files and put them back replacing the original ones? (ps3- mkke)
Of course it is, this is what this thread is about. i even wanted to share some of my mods but couldn't, an error message told that I'm restricted to post links. Probably because I don't have many posts yet.
