Mounted games not showing

the ps3 can't handle lots of small files. I believe it's a limitation since it's not considered a priority. the ps3 just can't handle too much going on, so I think this is deliberate. large files aren't an issue though. however, some games have thousands of small files requiring multiple resets. I've not had any issues with ps3 games. did you try what @bguerville suggested with the debug cobra?

Sounds like proxy issue, please try this test version: https://www.sendspace.com/file/qxw9sc

I tried this, and the issue still occurs. I noticed that psn patch's message appears several minutes after exiting a ps2 game. I'm going to see if the same thing happens with webman mod.

also, I deleted my ps3's proxy even though my ps3 wasn't connected to it. I have a proxy for each current system, aside from the 360, and connected via mac address and ip address for added protection. :-P

I meant proxy plugin to mount games, not internet proxy. Anyway if is not fixed then doesn't matter.

It did not help, I copied two games one PS2 second PS3 and still the same after exit from File Manager to XMB, WMM not ready after restarting PS3 and mount game, and pressing the refreshing list freez console, to work, I need to reinstall WMM again. Pinky I do not debug COBRA yet.

I've noticed freezing as well whenever you select certain options. this only happens after exiting a ps2 game for me.

actually, you gave me the idea of checking if my system was connected to a proxy. I didn't mean to say that that's what you were talking about. I had tried everything else, so I might as well try that. I only use proxies when I'm blocking certain websites considering my router can't do that. the ps3 account wasn't blocking anything. it was just there, setup, with no "forbidden sites." I think it was a good idea though, but it didn't help.

I noticed that even if you don't use webman mod to boot a ps2 game, it will still cause the "webman mod not ready" error. :( the issue has to be with cobra or webman mod. however, multiman can boot ps2 games without this problem. anyway, sorry for the confusion. ;)

Do not apologize for the confusion, because it looks like a critical software error, something that spoils WMM or COBRA. It looks like a thicker case. Something is glitch memory COBRA or WMM are not loaded correctly, similar behavior happened to me on other platforms such as Windows, overloaded memory bug the program and crash.

that's the thing that doesn't make sense. why does it seem like we're the only two people with this problem? I only have psn patch running when it comes to plugins. I have a few games, mostly ps2 isos, on my system. I did install the PARAM.SFO of all external content though, so I'm not sure if the shear volume of content is causing this issue. it's the only thing I can think of. I have hundreds of things installed.

I do not know why, but I think that others do not do as much file operations as we do :P
I am surprised and I just have not many things installed that I use, Homebrew only Retroarch, ScummVM, unfortunate PSP Launcher, File Manager, Movian, WMM , games, retro roms and nothing more and rather see no reason in anything than something wrong with WMM or COBRA. None of these things should go against CFW. Maybe other people would like to do some thorough tests like us and maybe they would have that glitch. The PS3 itself works like gold for me, I did not see any problems with freez or the disk did not drop out or anything. low temperatures also show that the hardware is in good condition. So 100% is something wrong with CFW.

I figured these issues were related to the hdd. I think webman mod mostly saves to the tmp and wm folders on the internal hdd (could be wrong but I think that's right). I don't even play the system, so lack of use is what I was thinking. I've had other hdds fail for the same reason. either that or the sabrent enclosure just plain sucks. I did install crystal disk info to check the six hdds (seven with the internal) hdds plugged into my laptop periodically. I even bought a $70 usb hub with 13 ports to give enough power to the unpowered hdds. :) after three external hdds failed (the 360's, the ps3's, and the wii's), I've backed up all internal hdds and the remaining externals (had 2 for the 360 and ps3 and one survived for each; plus, I already had two backups of the wii hdd). I've gotten that paranoid. the internal hdds for the ps3 and 360 seem to be more resilient though even with nonuse, so I don't know if that's the problem. the only thing left to do is to debug the system. I'm pretty sure it's a cobra problem, because psn patch's info doesn't appear but randomly after exiting a ps2 game. there's probably more to it that causes the error with our immediate setup. I'd really like to know if anyone else has this problem.

Have either of you tried to downgrade to lower CFW to see if everything works.
If so I would recommend 4.80
I have been testing rebug and 4.80 seems to be faster for loading games and running them but maybe it is just me.

I'm not sure. I think he reported the same issue on habib's firmware. and, no one else seems to be having this issue. maybe it's an option with webman mod? mm works with multi-game usage which tends to suggest that it's webman mod or cobra and webman mod together. there's something unique going on. the fact that there's a delay in enabling plugins then suggests that it's cobra. I tend to think it's both in conjunction. it could be an option in mm which cobra doesn't like. however, I think I tried disabling cobra, then trying a ps2 classics game, and I encountered the same problem which leads back to webman mod being the culprit.

Have you downgrade and installed an older version of Webman mod 1.47.06 before proxy update to maybe find out
Lowest CFW need is 4.81

the issue has followed me from 4.81 to 4.82. afaik, the message that webman mod is loaded is right after you start the console. however, it says that it's not ready which suggests that webman is still loaded into memory. otherwise, I'd expect the options not to work. if you chose eject disc, for example, the console freezes. this is only after exiting a ps2 game. I don't have the ftp issue that @DEX357 has.

And I do not have a problem with the action after leaving the PS2 game everything is ok and the webman normally works, turn off the game and it's ok not showing up the message about the WMM readiness. So I can assume that COBRA / WMM is "suffocating" on a large number of files on disk, it would be useful to fix it in CFW. The PS3 itself certainly works without any problems with large amount of files and sees them because SONY did not give the possibility to install games on the disk. A bit of a critical error for CFW with COBRA, once included and should never be disfigured, only manually.

I've had some time now for bigger tests, and I'm testing on Ferrox 4.82 1.01. And I have it WTF. Playing with ps2 disables consoles when turned on. Games with PS3 work normally. @pinky @Alexander
