Multiman and PSX Backups Blank Screen

I am using HEN on my Playstation 3 Super Slim, as well as Multiman to load games. However, on occasion, whenever I load a PSX backup, it doesn't load it properly, and remains on a blank screen. I have to turn it off, and turn it back on to get it working again. Sometimes it works properly, and loads the game, but most of the time, it has the blank screen problem.

Am I doing something wrong here, or do I need an upgrade to a better software? Is there a solution to this situation, because I am very keen on using my PS3 to play my PSX backups. If anyone can help me with this, I will greatly appreciate it.

Check if your fan settings are dynamic. If so, change it to manual mode or syscon.

It's a known issue to have black screen on HEN when fan speed increase when a game is loading.

I have some questions about this.

1. How exactly do I set the fan settings to Manual Mode, or Syscon?
2. Which would be the better of the two, Manual or Syscon?
3. If I do the modifications to the fan settings, won't that result in wear and tear to the fan? Or am I taking this the wrong way?

Also it only does the black screen with PSX game backups, PS3 Game Backups work perfectly fine. Does this change anything?

Fan settings is just one of the possible causes.
There could be others like corrupted firmware files, bad game image, game compatibility, hardware issues, etc.

1. In webMAN Setup menu
2. It depends if your console gets hot or not.
Syscon is the official method used by gameOS. But cause overheating.
3. Manual can be dangerous if the fan speed is set too low or too noisy if the speed is set too high.

I don't use webMAN, only the HEN version of Multiman. And I don't think it could be game compatibility due to the fact that sometimes when a game that leads to a black screen doesn't work, after turning on the PS3 again, it works the second time I load. So I wonder what's going on?

There is no mM HEN version. The developer hasn't updated it in quite some time. If you have one it is certainly a modded version that can cause issues. While I used to prefer mM due to the GUI and how well it's written. I found IRISMAN to be much better with PSX games especially when I was using HEN.

Okay then, how would I be able to use IRISMAN to load the PSX Games? Do I need to put the hard drive with the backups onto a specific USB Slot? Because I'm aiming toward also having the hard drive with the PS3 backups connected at the same time. And also, does the USB drive have to be NTFS formatted, or can it use FAT32?

FAT32 is preferred because it is a file system supported natively.
NTFS is recommended for PS3 games and movies in ISO format, due that file system allows files larger than 4GB

IRISMAN can read both file systems without issues. You can connect the HDD to any USB port

there is a version fixed by Joonie. all other versions can cause shutdown using ntfs drives on hen IIRC. it was released here shortly after first hen (4.84 days) and is on brewology.

How does the above work any different to the current one I got from brewology? Also whenever I try to use IRISMAN to load a PSX ISO, it returns back to the original list of games I was in prior. Am I missing anything here, given I'm using A PS3 Super Slim with HFW and HEN? (Please excuse my recent edit, but I could not see the copy and paste elements when I was editing this reply).
