I have a slim PS2 (SCPH-77002) with FreeMCBoot and OPL Beta on an official Sony 8MB memory card in slot 1, and a MX4SIO in slot 2.
When I first set this device up, everything worked great; all games on the SD card worked, even saving to the memory card in slot 1 worked.
Now, only one or two games will even launch - and even then they seem to freeze fairly quickly.
I have tried two different MX4SIOs and two different microSD cards and with any configuration of these four items, always the same issue - the vast majority of games will go through the debug colours, then display a black screen. When this happens, the blue LED on the MX4SIO blinks very dimly at regular intervals but nothing else happens.
I have completely erased both SD cards, reformatted them, copied games over again, and still the same issue persists. I'm a bit perplexed by it all - nothing has changed and the microSD cards are not corrupted or fragmented, and have worked fine in the past - but I'm stuck with this issue.
