PS2 [MX4SIO/SIO2SD] SD Card Adapter and SD-driver for the PS2 SIO2 interface

Peeps who know how to use the search on GitHub issues use v1.2.0-Beta-2049-513e9b3 (at least as of 2024-01-21) and don't cough.
It sounds incredible, but it's a fact.

I've just gotten one of these going, but I'm having a strange issue. If I have the MX4SIO plugged in while I boot the console, go through FreeMCB, and then run wLaunchELF, it doesn't show up. However, if I unplug and replug the MX4SIO while in wLaunchELF, it will show up. Same thing with OPL. It won't show up until I unplug and replug. Once I do that, games launch and work fine in OPL.

Anyone have any ideas? It seems like something is putting the MC1 slot into the wrong mode or something? Or maybe issuing some command that puts the SD card to sleep or something? I am using an ancient version of FreeMcBoot, but wLaunchELF and OPL are current builds.

What? What issue are you talking about?
He is referring to the "issues" section of the Official OPL Github, which can be found here:

For me all I have to do is select mass, go back, and then select mass again and it turns into MX4SIO.
I assume you are using El_isra's wLE-MX4SIO:
https://github.com/israpps/wLaunchELF_ISR/releases/download/latest/BOOT-EXFAT-MX4SIO.ELF

However, if I unplug and replug the MX4SIO while in wLaunchELF, it will show up. Same thing with OPL. It won't show up until I unplug and replug. Once I do that, games launch and work fine in OPL.
Make sure you don't have a USB plugged in, OPL has MX4SIO problems when USB storage is present AFAIK.

Finally, at least someone began to arrange and compile _actual_ information in a way of the so-called "entrance" section of the forum, something that can be pinned as "stickies".
Thematic (problem-oriented) information compilations/FAQs (and not abstract, single-program-oriented ones) are something that is definitely missing here (at least in PS2 sector).

hi, i've seen that i can create one myself but i don't have resitor and i don't wanna buy them for a single project so i have can do it without it or it's necessary. i'm new pleaseee responde quick

Sure!
All the components in the project are completely unnecessary, they were shoved there only to prevent peeps from having free piracy fun!

Hi, i haven't used PS2 for about a year. What changed in MX4SIO? Are Sandisk cards detected? What about exfat? What is latest OPL for MX4SIO?

hi, i have the exact problem, did you figure it out?

Anyone know why a MX4SIO with a microSD formatted in FAT32 is working fine in OPL, but when I format it as exFAT it doesn't detect the games?

Do you mean no games up in the games list? I found that going back to OPL main menu, unplugging and replugging the memory card, then going into the games list again will always show up the games. Alternatively, if you don't want to get up, you can just exit OPL into PS2 Browser, then relaunch OPL and it will list the games.
