PS2 [MX4SIO/SIO2SD] SD Card Adapter and SD-driver for the PS2 SIO2 interface

To anyone who has a problem with the games list not being shown try Exit OPL and enter it again. For me there's a 50% chance the games won't be shown, and exiting/re-entering makes them show again.

Hi,
I'm having an issue with OPL. All the games show up but only a few boot. I have already enabled PalEmu as well checked the compatibility list.

Get a newer OPL and please don't make bug reports for old versions (which you have not even mentioned).

For most .ZSO games in OPL, try enabling compatibility mode 1 and 2.
Some .ZSO games will perform better with just mode 1 enabled, or no modes enabled.
Test them and save the best settings for each game.

I've also had many games not load (black screen) if GSM is enabled, not sure why.

Hello everyone, I have an old PS2 Slim that doesn't read disks anymore so I would like to try this.

If I understood right, I need one memory card that is actually MX4SIO for holding games on microSD and another with FMCB?

Are there any versions of PS2 Slim that can't work with this?

Here's the thing: if you own a SCPH-9000X model, get a Memory Card with Funtuna Fork (by El_isra) and a MX4SIO adapter; if yoou own a SCPH-7000X, you can get a Memory Card with regular FMCB and a MX4SIO adapter. Funtuna Fork works on all consoles, while regular FMCB does not work on SCPH-9000X consoles. You can buy a Bitfunx Memory Card on AliExpress with Fortuna on it, then replace it with Funtuna Fork using the installer El_isra developed, by following an online step-by-step guide, like the following one:

In the video, the dude already teaches you how to update OPL. I recommend you get OPL 1.2.0 Beta 2156, then you're good to go. I know the video may seem like a very complex process, but it's actually quite easy.

Thank you very much, I own SCPH-75004 model, is that also okay for FMCB?

Long time but I am back. Almost every game I want to play works great now outside of 2 -

Medal of Honor Frontline still does not boot for me. I've tried my own dump as well as a redump ISO.
The Thing freezes after the initial loading screen after starting a new game

My hardware:
PS2 Slim SCPH-70012
Free McBoot v1.966 (installed on an OG 8MB Sony Memory Card
OPNPS2LD-v1.2.0-Beta-2199-200eaa7
OG Sony DualShock 2

MX4SIO
Samsung 256GB Pro

Any recommendations to getting these two games to work? OR are they still known to be problematic? I looked at a few different compatibility lists (granted older versions of OPL) and people have said these work with no modes set. I have tried no modes, as well as mode 6 on both and modes 1,3,6 on Frontline

I really want to play these games as I no longer have the discs so any advice is helpful! I'd like to stay on this version of OPL if possible as the other 98% of my library works flawlessly.

@TnA
Hello there, I get FMV stutter about every second on Kingdom Hearts, is there anything I can do to fix it? would you recommend a certain SD card or build? I'm using a Sandisk ultra 512gb XC microSD with exFAT on a PSX2 slim and i'm using grimdoomer OPL v1.2.0.6-1996 Beta, as that's the only one that works well for me, the new official beta keeps freezing for me when scanning the SD card or while loading games
Thanks a lot for your help

I get FMV stutter about every second on Kingdom Hearts, 512gb XC microSD with exFAT.
Try going to this thread and scroll down to "MX4SIO's compatibility list"
and "SD Cards' compatibility list" and "OPL with MX4SIO support"
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/m...d-sd-driver-for-the-ps2-sio2-interface.29210/

If that doesn't help, see if this thread gives you any idea on what might be causing the problem:
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/opl-mx4sio-exfat-zso-best-settings.45524/
If you have another blank spare microSD card or PS2 you can test the game with that and see if there's any difference.
Maybe another possibility is the microSD could be fake, low quality/speed, has corruption or fragmentation? :confused3:
Let us know if you solve it.
