Hi there, since I connect any external hard drive to my jailbroken ps3, the system detect all the games inside. Since I try to use a 2tb external hard drive, the ps3 doesn't detect it. I have two different 2tb hard drive (one is a toshiba and one is a Maxtor one), and both of them doesn't work.
Since I formatted all the drives to fat32, and I made sure that there was only one partition on the drive, I think that maybe my ps3 is not giving enough power to a 2tb drive, while it give enough power to a smaller one. In fact any 500gb hard disk or lower has been detected.

Any solution for make 2tb drive to work on my ps3?

So if you think it is power shortage you can get a USB cable that plugs into two ports. I have a drive I have to do like this.

I have this double cable, I tried to use it, but with no result. Maybe there is some other reason?

Did HDD recognized by PC when you plugged in ? If yes, then plug hdd to console go to multiman and switch mmc to multiman mode. Press start + select and use mouse toggle to mmc desktop multiman icon (on left corner) press x and select pfs driver and open root on desktop. You will see your HDD as "pfsusb01" . I think this is might be your solution.

Meh multiMAN is terrible if not FAT32 as it is very hit or miss with NTFS. Just make sure you run prepISO if using NTFS.

is it gpt or mbr? i know this causes flash drives not to work on ps3 not sure about hdds as i have never used an external one on mine

I just chacked and realized that my hard disk was in gpt format. I formatted to mbr and fat32, now my ps3 read the hard disk :D

Thanks you all guys
