I read that it was possible so jumped onto the Frankie I had been looking at doing for a year now but after installing cfw my ps2 disc goes to black screen I can exit out though. But game doesn't load.
I have tried to change the region in xregistry tools but that didn't change anything. I read that using DEX you can change it in the debug menu but that doesn't show up on mine? I'm on CFW 4.92.2 w/Cobra PEX. Is there something I'm missing or is it just not possible to play region free on discs at this time?
So I have had a response on reddit and looks like it's nothing to do with CFW and that the issue is NOPS2 error. I will put out an update with what the fix is after repairs or if no repair could be done
