PS3 Need help changing hdd on a 4.82 cfw and install 4.90 cfw

Hi guys I really need help, I just bought a ps3 today with 4.82 cfw Ferrox ( CECH 2004a). It has 120gb Im going to buy a 500gb hdd tommorow and since its a new hdd I want to install the 4.90 cfw, I watched both modded warfare an the mario guy videos. Nobody addresses the situation if Im on 4.82 or when putting a new hdd ( tbh its my fault I don't understand a thing (ofw hfw .....) Im lost).
Here is what I want to do : put a 500gb hdd and install 4.90 cfw.
What I dont understand : when you put a new hdd you are required to install a system software in safe mode from Sony ???? so install a clean 4.90 from playstation.com then do those steps from those youtubers ? or install direclty the cfw when in safe mode Im lost. I dont know how to host the flash writer, the Xamp app needs a x64 windows version I have a 32bit? is there any other way to do it elsewhere that I can find it already hosted? if not can I host it by th 2017 version of Xamp that has 32bit ?
Can someboy please walk me through this step by step. Im very slow to understand stuff but please is there anyone to walk me through this I don't want to brick the console
btw did the miniver check it was 2.60

if you are running ferrox, you do not need the flash writer.

you can change the drive then install the evilnat pup. no need to goto safe mode, the ps3 will ask for the pup file after hard drive is changed.

I did it changed the hdd and just put the new evilnat pup like you said and everything works perfect. Thank you Thank you thank you
