Need help with ps3 jailbreaking...

So as the title says i need some help to jailbreak my ps3 console. I am completely noob when it comes to this kind of things, but seeing the possibilities you have with a jailbroken ps3 kinda attracted me.So, i have a CECH 2504B ps3 with 4.8.2 OFW installed and date type 0C. When i open version check by lfcaro on my ps3 it says: update data of version 3.40 or later can be installed on this system. I tried browsing on this forum in order to find an easy way to jailbreak my ps3, but all i see is some posts about flash dumping and writting which i dont really understand.I found a website that says that i can jailbreak my ps3 just by downloading a file with .pup in the end and installing it via system update on my ps3. The guide says that after installing the CFW the version of my ps3 will be this : Version 4.82 CFW DEX-3. So the question is, should i go on and install this CFW ? And if not, can someone link me a site with a guide to jailbreak my ps3 ?
 
@pink1 I really don't know what's wrong , but i can't host an http server neither from my phone (tried kws) or pc (tried miniweb). When using my phone and hosting a server i get an error : Forbidden no directory listing when i write the ip adress on my ps3 or pc (tried enabling directory listing from kws settings, but there is no such option on my kws application f or some reason). Then i tried miniweb, I open it up after disabling firewall, i paste the nand Dump html and js file in the htdoc folder of miniweb, i write down the ip on my ps3 and my smartphone and i get infinite loading. The ip adress only works on my pc for some reason ... I tried finding help on google but can't find a solution. Do you think you can help me ? Thanks for your responses and your time !! :)
 
you may have the wrong root with kws. try to use a file manager. mine, for example, is a list of letters and numbers. this is using kws to host files for my ps4.

with the pc, try xampp.
 
I tried using xampp too, but the same thing happened.I can only access my web servers from my pc. I even tried connecting my ps3 with ethernet too because my pc is connected with ethernet and i thought i might fix the problem but the same thing happens.I read some things online about dynamic dns and static ip shit but i dont really understand and i dont want to make a stupid move i will regret.Thanks for the help guys @pinky and @pink1 but i guess that shit isn't for me after all .
 
I am trying not to sound smart here, but if you ask a question on Sunday and by Thursday you are prepared to quit, then I would agree it's not for you,

Discovering all the intricacies and subtle little reasons why something does not work the way it should needs patience and a certain amount of tenacity.

Imagine if the guys that developed the exploits for us all threw in the towel after just 5 days of testing and trying, we would not be having this conversation.

May I offer some ideas to check over that are probably obvious ones and I mean with the best intentions,

· Set your PS3 IP to 223.0.0.2 & PC IP to 223.0.0.1
· Enable network connection on the PS3 XMB
· Connect both PC & PS3 via Ethernet cable
· Launch Miniweb on PC
· Return to PS3 and launch browser
· Type in 'http://223.0.0.1:8000’ and enter
· See if the PS3 IP now shows on the PC
· Load up files into HTDOCS if it does and you should be good to go from the PS3 side of things

@Incorruptable To be honest, i wasn't going to give up just yet, i just don't want to become a pain in the ass to you guys with my continuous questions, cause as i already said, i am a newbie to all this stuff and i completely understand that some of my questions may sound completely dumb and idiotic.Anyway, i just found out that if i create a miniweb server from my laptop (wireless connection), i can connect it with all of my devices (ps3 android device and even my ethernet connected pc). So should i continue the installation of CFW from my laptop or should i follow the steps you told me in order to continue from my pc ? Also should i use index_idps.html index_nand.html or index_nor.html for dumping ? I know that for flash i just have to use the file flash_482.hex without needing of index_nand or index_nor.(My ps3 is nand). By the way thank you very much for trying to help me @Incorruptable i do appreciate it !!

I am no expert either, i only followed what was available on this forum and others to figure out certain issues, as far as how you should go about exploiting your PS3, i am only offering my own guide that i know worked for me on two Fat consoles.

No harm trying to complete what i set out below, it will give you a very stable connection rather than a WiFi connection,

Also, only use the files available from the xploit teams website,

@Incorruptable Ok. I need your help one more time... I have succesfully flashed the flash_482.hex file and created a dump.hex file. I have both files on a folder. Now what i should do is install the CFW or i should reboot my ps3 first (a message appeared at my ps3 while flashing flash_482.hex file that there is a risk of brick if i turn off my ps3 thats why i am asking) ??

Someone else will be more qualified to answer your question, i never seen this on my consoles when i flashed them, perhaps this shows if the flash file is corrupt or is the incorrect one.

I realise this message is very late response, i would not be the best person to be relying on for answers as i am infrequently online.

How did it work out for you? Did you power down and successfully install CFW?

Or did you get advice elsewhere on the warning that showed?
 
@Incorruptable I finally did it!! i installed ferox on my ps3 and i already downloaded multi-man.I will start doing research on what to do from now on but thank you so much for your help!! i really appreciate it so much !!! By the way do you know how to open a conversation on this site ? cause i've been trying to open one from yesterday but i just cant figure out how to do so... Again thanks for your time !!
