PS3HEN Network icons missing

Hey fellas.. So helping a dummy install HEN for 4.86 and installed HEN (alternate) from xploit page.. Downloaded fine but after going to Remote Play and out, all the Network icons were missing and could not install HEN..
Reinstalled original update and tried again and again and same thing keeps happening.. I've installed on many systems and know the steps pretty well..
Using a Super Slim and the one thing that happened is this retard logged on to psn account when I asked him to use the ps3 browser to get to the exploit page.. :/ I was helping over the phone..
Is there a fix for this??

reinstall hfw and then try the regular installer.
 
Many users are facing the same issue of missing network icon after using the alternate HEN installer. Just wondering why?

Nope that didn't work either.. The hibrid update installs fine the Hen loads fine but the can't get passed the Remote Play to load HEN because all the icon in NETWORK

do not use alternative installer. reinstall hfw to get icons back then use the other installer (the one above alternative on xploite site.

Yes thats the one we used it loaded a PS3 HEN. P3t file
Does this install diferently cuz if I go to Remote Play all icons disappeared again

i havent seen @esc0rtd3w for a while so i will tell you. the xploit site's alternative installer has been broken for a while now it seems. but now when i look at the other installer/enabler i get a godaddy firewall warning. i know it will not work from my phone but i have accessed this page in this manner before with no warnings like that.

Actually the Alternate instaler has worked fine for a few systems. Just this Super slim is giving us trouble..
I will confirm if we solve this to close this thread..

when was the last time you used it before the superslim?

we dont usually close threads because others may have the same problem in the future. usually close them for rule breaking, fighting, or other problems.

esc0rtd3w is busy with other things at the moment.
Regarding HEN bugs or hosting issues, you guys will have to see that with him.

i just used the alternative installer (the remote play one) and it worked fine.

@Bulletz
if you are using a proxy or vpn, try disabling it. if you are not on 4.86 hfw, update to it. if those dont work, check your network/router settings. ive seen several people with this problem lately but i cant reproduce it. i used superslim model cech-4001b to test but it is the only one i have right now.
 
When I first wrote and tested the alternative installer I didn't have any issues, though now it looks like occasionally it can write bad data to the category_network.xml file in flash (this is how it works). It shouldn't be used anymore since we have easier & more up to date methods now, though it seems like the ps3xploit site isn't updated often.

OK I meant I wanted to state the issue was resolved.. Not remove the post.. There were no posts online with this issue..
Last installs were 2 weeks ago.. Installed fine on super slim and a slim..

also you can place PS3HEN.BIN and latest full hen pkg (renamed HEN_UPD.pkg) and use ps3hen_enabler_usb000.htm to start hen and it will install the pkg automatically. all these files come in release zip on xploit site.

Good info for the post.. My issue was resolved with the first option which was using the instaler/enabler but I used the one u sent me. The online link on xploit page is no good..
Only problem is the Enable option gives an error when HEN enabler is activated.. But it IS enabled and games are playable..
Its great to have more options on the post.. I look forward to using these other install methods..
