PS3 New hardrive phat (8002F2B5)

So I've replaced the 80gb hard drive on a PS3 phat that's been modded as the old one had failed. Sadly I have no idea what firmware version it was on.

I've formatted both the hard drive and USB drive fat32 via the Rufus tool.

When I load it asks me to connect storage of 2.45 or later.

I've tried the official firmware and I get the message " no applicable data was found"

When I try CFW 4.8 or CEX 3.5 for example I get
"The data is corrupted. (8002F2B5)"

Serial number ends in CECHL03

I've just made a post on here with the exact same issue, my PS3 is different model though and the slim version.

Hopefully we can find a fix for this soon

Might be worth trying version 3.55 first as I believe anything earlier than that can't just up to higher versions.

I could be wrong but worth a try

This was actually the first version I tried as I remember that being the goto version, but I just get the "Data is corrupted" error.

Some responded on my post, and looks like it's an issue with my SSD unfortunately.

Were you able to resolve your issue?

Might try another hard drive , I will run a smart scan in windows first to check the drive.
