habib basically said Sony needs to fix this or ALL of our PSN accounts are at risk.
Devil303 basically said if an account is already stolen, isn't it too late for a fix.

I mistakenly updated my ps3 with HFW 4.87 and can't install hen on it, wasn't aware that it hasn't have update yet. So wanted to ask that "is it possible to install back HFW 4.85/86.1? So that I should be able play my games?

I want to ask which steps I can take to install HFW 4.85 back on my console (PS3), I just updated it with 4.87 but it isn't supporting Hen. So all my games are stuck in it and I can't able to play anymore. Anyone with an idea?

Per your/my recommendations, I did the following:
  • Deactivated ALL my consoles
  • Changed my password
  • Removed saved payment methods
Should I change my email address too?

Lol why you rushing too update the firmware which is not officially confirmed by this forum

That's why i'm waiting for hen 4.87 available on this forum

That's firmware is in tested by developer not available for public

Can you rollback too via recovery mode?

Except OFW you can update automatically on your console

The update was released by @Joonie it doesn't get more official, allot of guys installed the new firmware to access psn/online. Some people use their consoles for YouTube and shit too. Staying on 4.86 means you can game offline and that's about it as there is no psn access. I can play all my games on 4.87 except gtav as I need the new HEN which I'm happy to wait for.. These guys are doing us a favour community should just be patient and stop nagging for new HEN. If you're following the threads as you should be you will know when it's out.

Yes some people success updating too 4.87 but i'm not updating the console he's said too wait for hen 4.87 on this console.

Which means hen it's tested by that developer.. I don't want my ps3 bricked because of that.

actually the firmware cannot be published to the public yet because it is still in the development stage

not that it can all the way across all consoles

some people here want to try because they are impatient

The firmware he sent was in development

does not mean it can be run

if I insist on using the firmware it will be bad for me and my console

As far as I know it's not that easy to brick your system on HFW, generally HFW gets soft brick which is reversable. Not like bricking a CFW console, which is why i prefer HFW as someone new to modding.
 
thumbs up to all the developer and the members for trying to put things together for us. And a big thumbs up to @habib for giving us a heads up on how to handle our Psn Properly. And I hope there will be something from the ps3xploit team for us to celebrate the Christmas or new year and as for me I will be waiting patiently for all the remaining releases to be confirmed before doing anything.

right now millions of $$ have been lost in bucket. Sony doesn't care about you or me. Atleast I helped you get out of situation where you might be the target

my suggestion to everyone:
Renew email and password BOTH for psn
One more suggestion: deactivate and reactivate console first
That might not help because millions.of console ids are hacked which were activated consoles. But still. You get the point

Now that you mention that... i had my legit account somehow hacked and i reached sony support really fast... afaik, my account had a really strong password. The curious thing it was only my PSN account that got hacked...

Sony support asked my console's serial number (i was using my legit account in my 3k console) to verify it was me the real owner and i got my account back. From that day i was kind of paranoic.
 
Ummm...... when would ps3hen of 4.87 come out.
and if it does can someone notify me on which page i can find it first. its important even tho i spoofed my hen ps3 with the updatelist trick with webman and multiman

hi i have hfw 4.87 from joonie and hen working, webman's background psn downloads not working. watch this so you can check for firmware changes or if the webman needs to be modified.

Lol you want believe what just happened, I was about to jailbreak a console of a friend of mine which was on 4.84. So I was having a problem by updating it through USB, that's when I decided to use internet . After connecting to WiFi saw it saying version 4.87 its available, I just went for it .Later I realized that Hen is taking so long after I got the stage of initializing, then I started googling to see what's wrong. Then I saw alot of people talking about HFW 4.87 that it shouldn't updated yet, but to me was too late cos I already done it before confirming. And by that time I updated mine too which was on 4.86, so am stuck all my games are in there but I can't play anymore cz there's no HEN. That's why am asking for help saying "it is possible to go back to 4.86 or I should just wait for 4.87 version of hen to come out?"
